I adore this movie so much. Watched it with my sister over and over growing up and watched it with my daughter and she loved it also. So great!

One of the all time greatest movies Ever. Michael Sargow must a be a bad reviewer or he wasn't paid to like it.

The key in this movie is not the story itself, but their hidden secrets (for example, the lesbic relationship that there was in the book and they did not dare to put into big screen), which made that a whole generation of under-represented collectives acquired this movie as a cult one.

If you're in the mood to sit back and absorb, this is one of the great movies of the 90's. Fantastic performances and lots of heart-tugging moments, followed up with some feelings of justice and empowerment.

A truly wonderful story & film. Well worth every minute to watch & enjoy all the emotions within. The stories within the story and the humour, sadness, grief & love in this film is amazing. I love this & have watched it many times and never tire of it.

Fried Green Tomatoes had the kind of overpowering warmth that makes for the sweetest entertainment. The characters are endearing, and the parallel stories are engrossing and empowering. This film does a great job making you forget what you think in order to remember how you feel.

Very good movie . Good acting and interesting story

Wasted first half an hour, then becomes painfully predictable and trivial.

FGT is probably my favourite film of all time. It takes you on a magical roller coaster with lots of tears and laughter on the way. I will never tire of watching this film and would recommend it to everyone I meet. I defy anyone to not fall in love with this film and its wonderful characters. Don't forget to have a good supply of tissues at hand! ;-)

This is such a beautiful film of friendship and loss! I was moved and inspired as a child watching this!

SHUT UP I'M NOT CRYING YOU'RE CRYING This is a goddamn sad movie, man. It's also really homey and down to earth. It could have been a little gayer and a little less fatphobic, but for 1991, it's fairly progressive. I loved all the performances, which really highlight the strong emotions of the story. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs a good cry.

Probably my favorite movie from the 90s. Love it—the acting and the story.
