Friends With Benefits Reviews
This is a fantastic romantic comedy. The plot involves two very attractive, upwardly mobile professionals who have each recently left a relationship and are open to being Friends with Benefits, as the title says. The movie follows along as things predictably go awry. The dialogue in this film is extremely witty and delivered in a fast, spirited way which keeps the film moving along at a breakneck speed, like one of those old Noel Coward plays or a screwball comedy. The main characters are likable and relatable and their sidekicks are funny as well (Woody Harrelson steals the show from Justin Timberlake, if that’s even possible). The film also revels in its setting, showcasing New York City and the Empire State Building from a nearby rooftop, and mocking Los Angeles from the Hollywood sign ("the city’s only real landmark”). There are a few tender and emotional scenes, and they fit right in. Everything about this movie works, it’s sheer entertainment.
Very much worth the watch. It practically watched itself. Fun, nothing pretentious. So its simplicity is a strength. Very enjoyable cast. Short on laughs or I woulda rated it higher.
It's a Lil bit too cheesy, but I like the fact that the characters are conscious of themselfs.
love the plot but kinda boring to be honest
This movie is fun but a lot is left to be desired. The acting is bad and the jokes rarely land. If you go into it expecting nothing but a fun rom com then you will only be slightly disappointed. This is one of those movies you might enjoy as long as you don’t take it too seriously since it doesn’t take itself too seriously
I liked the movie, they start as friends then they agree to have sex but not fall for each other, but at the end they end up falling for each other😱🤫
It's not that great. Overall it's pretty silly.
Cute little date show. I love the dorkyness of it.
Who would have imagined. They realize maybe they should be more then friends with benefits. I was still touched.
Timberlake and Kunis are magical together. It may be a tried and true romcom, but this movie gets it right. It's sexy, hilarious, and immensely enjoyable. Friends with Benefits is a beautiful dose of movie magic.
funny movie with sex
It's a more fun average film
This is one of the more "decent" romantic comedies.
Cute enough for a rom com with background noise, but most of the dialogue was very forced and the chemistry felt very fake.
A pretty boring and generic rom com with some funny parts, mainly filled with Sony product placement though.
Not bad for a dumb, predictable rom com.
Over a decade old and such an enjoyable romantic comedy I love Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis as two people who decide to take a vow by having strictly a sexual relationship No feelings, no attachments, no complications but how long can they keep it going before real feelings sink in? This is good and laugh-out-loud hilarious but it adds nothing to the genre Funny they actually poke fun at the many Hollywood-ized ideas of love along with the cliches Still the two leads let their charm, humor, and looks carry the movie Great charisma and energy The dialogue is quick and witty, and some of the issues they run in to when it comes to being in a relationship or getting out of one is quite believable Very sexual and daring at times and very funny Love the supporting players of Richard Jenkins, Patricia Clarkson, and Woody Harrelson Plus the entire movie feels like an ode to the bygone days when magazines made enough money for their writers to comfortably fly across the country for job interview
