Girl Most Likely Reviews
Not sure why all the hate for this movie, it's funny & cute. I liked it from start to finish & definitely has a lot of interesting side plots & stories going on throughout. Quirky is a good way to describe the main character, but the whole cast is a little out there, gives it all the more charm.
Target lady but with rich mother
Tries to be a quirky comedy but there's little comedy especially from the lead, you'd think she never been in SNL. Another forgettable 21st century comedy that tries to appeal to all
Ok so the plot was a little thin but the main characters were endearing, quirky and overall likeable. The casting was superb. This movie had some good laughs as well as some sly humor. Anyone who has ever spent time at the Jersey Shore should enjoy this movie.
Really unpleasant...
Girl Most Likely's biggest problem is that it is boring and the characters (beside from Imogene, just about) are not built well enough for you to sympathize with, root for, or want to fail. As I was watching, I kind of just didn't care about the other characters. However, the worldbuilding in the movie was alright. The main house was fleshed out, and so was the town outside of the big city. And I do have to say, as well, that I enjoyed the subtly of Imogene's development as she scrambles through all the new horridities popping into her life. This is not something that everyone particularly enjoys, though, so I get how most people didn't enjoy it. There's no problem with the actors, I just think that if they were going to market this as a comedy, to make the jokes... well, funnier. So that's it. Overall, it was boring. Plus half a star for Darren Criss as a backstreet boy.
) A unwitty translucide copy of Bridesmaids. The script is uninventive and is borderline ridicule at times. One star for those fine actors who did their best but honestly I could not watch it till the end.
I don't think this movie deserved all the bad reviews. I liked it. I always like Kristen Wiig, she's really talented. The story kept my interest all the way through. No, it's not overly funny or dramatic, but I thought a good story we can all relate to in some way.
I loved this movie. I cant believe all the bad reviews. Started with a feel similar to Young Adult, which I also loved. But this character turns around by the end. Teaches lessons of being authentic and real in a fake ego driven world, loving your family despite their flaws, and money is not what is truly important. I found it to be refreshing, funny, relatable, and charming.
Why are comedies so depressing? No wonder oscars never award comedies!
A unique, creative and funny storyline. It was a cute movie, fast paced and interesting. It's not a cinematic masterpiece, but it was fun and i liked it. Also Darren Criss could get iiit. Especially as a backstreet boy—my god.
Not bad way to kill a couple of hours. The characters are quirky but likeable, and Kristen Wiig can always deliver a line.
Very Funny!, Love the movie, despite de bad reviews I think the movie is very funny with very enjoyable moments!, I would recommend it !
I thought this movie was pretty damn good. Always a fan of Kristen Wiig, Annette Bening and Matt Dillon.
Imogene (Kristen Wigg) is the lead in this comedy. It starts with Imogen as a young precocious brat rehearsing the Wizard of Oz in which she thinks she can improve on her ending lines as Dorothy. Then cut to twenty years later and Imogen has not done well at all. She writes blurbs for theatre adverts and even for that she can't stop being sarcastic. So she is sacked. Then her boyfriend dumps her as she is too hard work. Now jobless and homeless she scurries back to gambling addict Mum, Zelda, and her weird brother. It's a suitably comedic dysfunctional family including the very odd Mum boyfriend who declares himself part of the CIA with a propensity for being struck by lightning. It bounces from one mildy funny scene to another as they seek a non-dead father. It never rises above weak to average though.
Vexingly unfunny and agonizingly cringeworthy.
