Glass Reviews

Highly entertaining film. However there are quite a few plot holes and at sometimes it is easy to get lost in the direction of the film. Which, in some ways makes it good.

I don't give 5's. Even when movies like Glass deserve it. Professional 'critics' don't have the scope of understanding to realize what it is they watch. If you watch a movie to escape the moment. To set the world aside. To free your mind from the torment of 'real-life'. Then all you need do is to find one in a genre of interest, and if you chose well, then you're good to go from opening scene to end roll credits. If you like Sci-fi, or even if you have a passing interest in comic-books. Then 'Glass' will afford you the sweet release you seek for 128 minutes, 35 seconds. I will watch it again! Glass is fantasy of the highest order. Framed in chunks of story in a directorial method Shyamlan has mastered. Section by section (most) everything is revealed. Brought to crescendo. Then followed by epitaph tying up loose ends you didn't know existed. Stars Willis, Jackson, and McAvoy are excellent. With McAvoy's exceptional character morphing riveted eyes to the screen as his inner hoard vied for the light. The viewer is positioned to pick the one(s) liked most and least. Both Anya Taylor-Joy and Spencer Treat Clark are outstanding. I now officially dislike Sarah Paulson and feel great disdain for Adam David Thompson. Those are among my highest awards. Reserved for only the best of the worst. After all, Movie Stars are supposed to be movie stars. However, Evil Villains given free rein to take you places where comfort is noticeably absent. Paulson and Thompson do so with aplomb.

Honestly, forget the critics... this film was phenomenal. The ending "most definitely" throws you, but the whole body of work of the film comes together seamlessly... & Elijah himself... a true bloody mastermind... til the very end.

This is actually the winner of the worst big screen movie I have seen beyond made for 온라인카지노추천 movies. I’m amazed M. Night Shyamalan is able to pull such lackluster performances from such amazing actors. Biggest climactic letdown I’ve seen written, most cringe worthy script, awkward Stockholm syndrome plot with Anya and the split character. Please let me forget this.

Night Shyamalan.

Perhaps a little too dependent on logic-skips and an unnecessary reliance on half-baked character arcs, Glass nonetheless concludes the combined storylines of Unbreakable and Split with a thoughtful social subtext that many of M. Night Shyamalan's other works sorely lack.

I think the most incredible miracle is having those great actors struggling to maintain together a very silly, nonsensical and forced plot. Also, let's not do this, let's not let the cinema anchor our vision of psychiatry and split personality in such an empty and simplistic way, with the pseudo-image of a doctor that spits random manual-worthy sentences, climbing on mirrors with claw. "You have the mental disorder I cure". Oh really? Come on...you could have asked a couple of researchers for details, you could've chosen 1 million different points of view or characters or words. In the middle of the movie the whole "scientific" thing becomes downright ridiculous and obnoxious and you can't even look at the actors straight in their performance without feeling embarrassed for them. The only question that remains is: why?

So many top actors in this horrible movie. For years Bruce Willis been doing films for a payday, but Samuel L Jackson n James McAvoy too??? This is the absolute worst movie of their career. The acting over all was good, but the story was stupid to say the least

One of the best superhero movie. Most practical and believable!!!

I've watched Glass a few times, never having the attention span to complete the film until today. It's a long movie, 129 minutes with a lot of dialogue, very few settings and characters that can make it feel slow, boring, and honestly not worth your time. I watched this film today knowing I don't fully understand the previous films to this series, but dedicated my attention towards grasping as much as I could to enjoy Glass without spending hours rewatching the series. Truly this movie was a great one for thinking! It made me question my own beliefs about powers and those that live within our world that could be special in ways we don't know, how powerful certain systems are without the world knowing. Once you get comfortable watching this film, you grasps its intention. I believe the comparison of heroes/villains and mental health was a unique approach. Great time, thought, and self discovery was taken to execute this film. This is a film I recommend, but one you won't appreciate until you are ready.

Glass (2019) is an interesting conclusion to M. Night Shyamalan's unconventional superhero trilogy, but I'll admit, it didn't quite hit the same sweet spot as Unbreakable or Split. While it ties the threads of these worlds together, the magic felt a little dimmer this time around. That said, there are some genuinely impressive moments that make it worth the watch. James McAvoy is the real MVP here. Once again, his performance as Kevin Wendell Crumb (and his many personalities) is mind-blowing. You can tell he's putting his all into each character shift, especially when The Beast takes over. And Anya Taylor-Joy? She brought a depth and warmth to Casey Cooke that made her scenes stand out. Honestly, I was always drawn in when she was on screen. She gave the movie a kind of emotional grounding that it really needed. The story tries to pull off something bold by questioning the idea of superheroes altogether, with Sarah Paulson's Dr. Ellie Staple pushing the idea of whether their abilities are real or not. It's a neat concept, but the execution felt a little clunky. The pacing dragged in parts, and some of the twists didn't pack the punch I hoped for. After Split, where Shyamalan kept me on the edge of my seat, I expected a bit more intensity and polish. Cinematically, though, it's still solid. Shyamalan has an eye for atmosphere, and the way he uses confined spaces to create tension is clever. The score worked well too, understated but effective. Glass might not be a masterpiece, but it still delivers enough to be part of the conversation. Plus, seeing these characters together is reason enough to give it a shot.

Weird trilogy, completely unexpected conclusion, bewildered.

This movie was so bad I couldn't finish it. When the producers and director read the script, how could they waste their money on this film.

Nov 3, 2024

Consistently bored the entire film. Shymalan has great ideas and then gets completely lost in them, this film would benefit from actually starring the stars and cutting a bunch of fat

this movie not bad and this very good i like this one

An incoherent plot, Casey’s story reduced to a mere background element, and false promises of an epic finale. Very disappointing.

Uma conclusão excelente da trilogia. Me tornei fã do diretor desde o filme Sinais e obviamente aqui ele não decepcionou. Definição de perfeição. Esse filme me faz ter um misto de emoções onde faz com que eu anseie por uma continuação e ver mais do universo criado ao mesmo tempo não quero que estraguem a trilogia perfeita que foi criada.

Still trying to understand what the heck happend to Shyamalan to do such a crap of a film. Unbreakable is the best superhero movie ever, Split is one of his finest. What could we expect from the meeting of these two very cool movies? A terrific third and final chapter. Instead this is an altogether letdown. The cast seem to ask themselves what they are really doing there. Paulson is the face of this cinematic killing of a nice franchise. (I cannot but hate her for that). Sometimes, Shyamalan, once that master of plot twists, tries to be too much smart for everybody's taste and ends up talking to no one.

Outro grande filme do mestre. Fico com a impressão que os críticos já chegam com pedra na mão, quando vêem o nome de Shyamalan. O diretor mais ousado e criativo do cinema

Original, excellent, could have done without the last 20 minutes but who cares. Great entertainment.
