God's Not Dead 2 Reviews
The story was fine but the case was not something very common which many people would not relate to
It’s not surprising that the ungodly critics trashed this film, but for those of us who are believers, this film is intensely satisfying, Unlike its prequel, this film addresses the evidence of God’s existence and the recalcitrance of those who don’t believe. Highly recommend.
The movie definitely shows what it's like to be a Christian in modern day America. Oh, no sex or profanity? That explains the low critical score.
Excellently done! I truly enjoyed this movie.
I enjoyed this overall as I thought the message was good & drives home a good point while supported by a good cast. Nice to see Hartman in something other than Sabrina
It's an inspiring movie. God is most definitely, not dead! Unless someone can prove that a mindless nothing created all life, and all the food, and the water, for all life to survive and prosper. The incredible accuracy of Bible prophecy proves that God's not dead. I liked the first move more, but this is really good, also. Good drama! Good truth! I just don't have enough faith to be an atheist.
Somehow inferior to its predecessor, God's Not Dead 2 is thinly written and glaringly childish, perhaps best appreciated for its provenance of Pure Flix's victim-playing and Christian persecution complex beliefs.
This movie paints a fictional world in which Christians are oppressed. However, it this not disclose that this is happening in Fantasy Land and just pretends this is our current world. Mostly good acting for what amounts to the most comically bad dialogue ever written.
FANTASTIC! VERY inspiring and entertaining.
Well worth making and watching for entertainment and inspiration, and because it make the Cultured Despisers of Religion absolutely apoplectic!
It is incredible how today you can be in "trouble" just because you mention the word God. Why? Where is the free expression right. This movie is a call to remember that right.
It rightly depicted the hostility of many in today's culture have towards Christians. The pretenses of "separation of church and state" is a thin cover for outright hatred of all things Christian. You don't have to be a Christian to recognize that, just not blind to the obvious reality of it. It's not hard to imagine a classmate going on hyper red altert to hearing the word "Jesus" in the classroom, not because he truly felt some offense, rather because he sees the opportunity to activate the self-righteous witch-hunt that's been programmed into him, always on the alert for such (supposed) wrong-doing. The lead actress is captivating. The girl who lost her brother then converted, and was determined to help her teacher, moving and believable. The attorney was good in his role. Where it lost a star for me was, the court case never focused on what was actually said, and why it wasn't the least bit a promotion of Christianity. Should have been an open and shut case. So, the writing lost a star for me. Still, it was a captivating movie, start to finish, and therefore I'd recommend watching it.
good message but forgettable
Awesome show that anyone with faith or a desire to have faith should watch. A great franchise and an uplifting time.
This was a great movie, I loved the acting and real life things many Christians must go through. Persecution can come from all aspects in ones life.
Was bad but it was still enjoyable for a Christian like me. With that being said, they really should consider placing the setting of the franchise as like 50 years in the future. That would make it so much better.
This is yet another great faith-based movie. Of course, if you are not into Christian based themed movies, this is not for you. The theme and story of this was excellent, and of course, the Newsboys being featured was great too. It seems that the typical Tomato reviewers hate the Christian movies, so don't listen to their comments. You will miss a great movie.
This movie was actually physically painful to sit through. Aside from being poorly written and shot, it reeks of paranoia and the American Christian persecution complex.
