This movie was awesome!!! Anyone that gave it a low rating and bad review are morons!!! It was hilarious and cute and great writing with an original storyline. I own this movie and can't get enough of it! Everyone should give this movie a chance. I'm telling you that it won't disappoint!

This movie is so lovable, the 5% on the Tomatometer is utterly incomprehensible! Formulaic, silly, pointless—yes, but that's almost part of the point. No laugh-out-loud moments? A few here and there. Continual, little snorts of laughter? Sure. There's no "gross-out" humor per se, the sexual stuff isn't as ridiculous or excessive as it's made out to be, there's nary a boring moment from beginning to end, Jessica Alba is absolutely gorgeous, there's so much fun, silly stuff you need to... well, drop your left-brain IQ in a heap on the floor and grab a huge bag of popcorn and just have lots of fun!

Use the force, see past the review bombing by the dark side. It's not worth 5 stars and it doesn't deserve all of the 1 stars either; it is a solid 3.5 90s/early 00s man has tough time until he meets the right woman. There's nothing wrong with the tropes, the stereotypes, or the raunchy humor. People are too sensitive for movies.

ive watched this terrible movie at least 20 times and i dont even know why it doesnt even make my boyfriend happy and he loves all shitty romcoms we just keep putting it on and then staring in misery for no reason, points for penguins though i love those guys

Not bad. Dane Cook's character is somewhat smooth though his pickup style seems derived from a book at times... but hey it works 🐱‍👤. I could see someone viewing the movie as chauvinistic and oversimplifying the female race as most women aspiring to be happily ever after through matrimony seems almost like an outdated concept to some (not myself necessarily). I think it ages fairly well considering it will miss on all cylinders with some of a more "modern" mindset. It's also pretty tame for a raunchy romantic comedy except for the gratuitous sex montage which was very well done, funny and akin to a European film or one of those Latin American Sexy Comedies. The story is relatable, the lead is sympathetic and Jessica Alba is perfect in her role. I don't know if this is the right date movie for early in the game, maybe more of a friend date type thing or something. I saw this "alone" so take my writing here with a grain of salt. They almost messed it up with some parts (I won't spoil it, but the movie almost went into full on sucky territory). Not the best Romcom and not formulaic enough to be pleasant in a cheesy-ironic sorta way. But not bad. Don't watch this with your mom. Don't worry I did not. 70/100 C-

I saw it once, years ago. It doesn't deserve any stars in my opinion. Raunchy sex comedy. It was almost pornographic. Not funny. Definitely not for me.

Hilarious!! Even in this day in age, everyone should chillax and grow up. Oh and that 'crude' humor is called slapstick, look it up. Yes, that was sarcasm about all the sexual jokes that are NOT sexist. If it's not for you, turn it off after five minutes mmmkay? Don't come whining here.

Bad acting, canned plot. It's hard to believe the main character is straight and the leading lady is pretty or was born female.

This is probably the most cringe plagued movie of all time!!! Every scene, leaves you shaking your head, and saying to yourself, who thought that that was funny, appropriate, worth spending money on??? This script would go straight into the dumpster today! Felt terrible for all the actors who took these roles. Feel all the actors should still be able to sue their agents, the production company, and Netflix for playing it! I am sure everyone involved would want every copy burned!!

I see a lot of reviews are negative for this movie. Yes the movie is vulgar and sexual, it is also funny and has a side to it you won't see in any other movie. Take for example the part where chuck sleeps with his assistant who most wouldn't call acceptable due to looks and body size. She proceeds to tell him she will do all the work and all he has to do is imagine she was someone beautiful. He looks her in the eyes and tells her he will only see her. I mean what other movie would do something like that? Ignore the people who claim this movie sucks and give it a try. You will not be sorry.
