Gyllenhaal and Dar Salaam as the leads are solid and believable. It's an inspiring true life story. I would give it 5 stars except some action scenes could be better and some of the "close calls" with the Taliban seem exaggerated.

overall, a good film. My only issue was that it was slow at the beginning. took a minute for it to really take off.

Didn't pay attention to this movie at all when it first came out. Then saw it on Prime and remembered oh yeah, Jake Gyllenhaal was in this. Really good movie. Pacing is well done. Entertaining. Good script, and good acting all around. Special call out to Dar Salim as Ahmed, he brought that character to life and nailed it.

This is an amazing film. The lead roles are perfectly cast and offer stunning performances. It is an emotional and wonderfully made film with heavy action sequences. One of the best war films recently made and timely at that.

Great Cinematography. It keeps you engrossed for the full length of the movie.

Covenant is a Fantastic war style movie. It is packed with action, emotion, adventure and most of all DEATH. This has nothing surprising in it or anything that makes this movie special besides 3 things. 1. Jake Gyllenhaal’s acting in this movie is some of his best, him in Spider-Man Far From Home opened me up to him but this swings that door open 3 times more than FFH did. He has outstanding emotion in this movie 2. The score in this movie is up there for the best of the year, it elevates each scene so much. This score could not have been better. When there is emotion in the score itself that’s when u know u have a legendary movie 3. The filmography is fantastic. I can’t even explain it. I definitely recommend this movie to ANYONE looking for a good time. 96%

The Covenant is a film of two halves: a gripping first half followed by a meandering second that struggles to find its way to the planned conclusion. Despite this unevenness, I found it to be an overall enjoyable experience.

Amazing! The last week I've watched over 20 movies and only 3 of them are actually good movies. This one is one of them! The other two are "talk to me," and "sniper: the white raven." Both of them could've a better ending, but they're great.
