Halloween: Resurrection Reviews
Here’s another entry that can be completely wiped from existence, and everybody would be better off.

Halloween: Resurrection is an embarrassment to a franchise that I hold near and dear to my heart. A franchise that has entertained viewers for the past 40 years and its fans deserved more than this film.
| Original Score: .5/4 | Jan 31, 2023
This movie is an insult to fans and the franchise. Myers feels artificially inserted into a generic 2000's slasher and he is treated as a joke rather than the face of the series. And we won't talk about the baffling treatment of Laurie Strode.
| Original Score: 1.5/5 | Aug 19, 2022
It just seemed cheap, barely like a Halloween movie. Even Michael Myers wasn't an imposing character...

Like one of those off-shoot Godzilla movies...I had so many laughs with this, I can have fun with this. It's dumb, but I can watch this again...

Resurrection may be the worst Halloween to date.
| Original Score: 1.8/5 | Jan 2, 2020
Although nothing can compare with the shear scare factor of the original and those incredible lungs of Jamie Lee Curtis, [Rick] Rosenthal gives it his best shot which, sadly, fails to compare with some of the better Halloween works.

This bottom of the barrel sequel feels like a cheap knock-off of the original, ending the series with a pathetic whimper rather than the bang it deserved.
| Jun 3, 2019
The most cynical and low-effort of all the Halloween sequels, if mildly amusing as a time capsule of early-2000s techno-horror flicks.
| Original Score: 1/5 | Oct 21, 2018
Stay away unless you like kitschy early internet nostalgia and lots of blurry found-footage trickery.

He comes, he kills, he fries, he stirs again. He's about as scary as Perry Como.
| Original Score: 0/4 | Oct 24, 2016
Myers shows up and slaughters almost everyone until martial-artist Harris and Sara Moyer team up to shock him in the nuts and say things like: "Trick or treat, motherf***er!"
| Original Score: 1.5/5 | Feb 8, 2014
It's a ridiculous, absurd slasher film with a concept that is so bad that it's undoubtedly good and makes for some wicked entertainment.

Provides the Halloween franchise with a clear, objective Worst Movie Of The Series...a virtually flawless collection of all the things that can make a slasher film unwatchable.
| Original Score: 1/10 | Sep 1, 2008
A pretty funny comedy starring the one, the only, the incomparable...Busta Rhymes.

A Blair Witch- style adventure that plays like a bad soap opera, with passable performances from everyone in the cast.

...progresses into a middling narrative that grows less and less interesting as it unfolds...

Rubber heads and lines are the order of the night.
