I definitely loved this film when I first saw it. I loved Hannah Montana since the show came out. It came out when I was in the 6th grade and going through a rough time making friends at the catholic school I was going to and this show made me feel comfort. Then the film came out and I saw Taylor Swift and was like "Hey she made that album with that "Tim McGraw" song. And it was comforting to see her playing another country song. I also loved that I saw all the characters because The Lizzie McGuire film didn't have Miranda. So it was really awesome that Jackson, Oliver and Billy Ray even, were in the film. So much southern charm. And I'm also from the south so I am a bit biased. So no complaints from me.

To be fair when i was a kid i remember watching the Hannah Montana show on the Disney Channel at grandma's house, that's the only time i was ever introduced to Miley Cyrus. So it's obvious she would get her own movie, it was passable at best but does have a few issues the only thing i would recommend to you is that if you're a longtime fan of Hannah Montana then maybe you could go check it out, but if you're not familiar with the show then all of the teen drama of the 2000s will leave a bad taste in your mouth.

Miley Cyrus is a shining star in this film. It is a great family movie as we get a better look into Miley Stewart and her life as Hannah Montana! Such great messages about family and coming back to your roots. Would recommend.

Miley Cyrus returns as Miley Stewart and her alter ego, pop sensation, Hannah Montana. In this film her father forces her to return to her hometown in Tennessee where she remembers who she is. Full disclosure: I have not seen an episode of Hannah Montana nor am I the target demographic. The plot is fairly enjoyable if you can ignore the scenes that are specifically targeting the 6-14 year old girl demographic to make them laugh. The music, while cranked out by the Disney machine, is fun and a few songs are heartfelt. It creates an interesting dynamic to have a father-daughter relationship on screen with a real father and his daughter playing the parts. The tabloid villain is a throw away plot that should have been left out of the film so they could have focused more on the land baron villain. If you are the target demographic or remember the television series fondly, then give this film a watch, otherwise skip it.

Well, my daughters sure loved this one. It is pretty cool to watch them watch the movie. Fun movie to watch for them. I don't know, i think she is pretty good, with a good family, a good person, good background, and is a star. Maybe i am just watching her through my daughters eyes. Big ovation in the theatre afterwards anyway.

I genuinely enjoyed this. I didn't see that coming. 'Hannah Montana: The Movie' kept me suitably entertained from start-to-finish, it is so much better than I would've predicted. I have never seen an episode of the television series either. It features a surprisingly interesting and fairly meaningful story, sure the ending is extremely Disneyfied and nonsensical but they make it work. For what it is, it's a relatively engaging storyline. There are a few bits of neat cinematography, also. Music-wise it's alright, "The Climb" is a (good) song that I was already familiar with. Miley Cyrus does a respectable job in the lead role(s). Billy Ray Cyrus, Margo Martindale, Vanessa Williams and Barry Bostwick all feature too, as does a young Natalia Dyer. I like the casting. I had very low expectations coming into this, but it's a film that pleasantly surprised me. I'd say it's worthy of a watch.
