Harriet Reviews
Excellent movie. It was so good you were surprised when the movie ended, 2 hr and 5 min!
Excellent story line. Easy to follow. Love the history lesson.
Great movie! Highly recommend!
Pretty good movie. It was interesting to see her portrayed through a different lens
Very powerful movie.
Excellent movie - so moving and history balance- stars did an excellent job
We loved this movie. Clearly, growing up we were not educated on the life and efforts of Harriet. This movie filled it all in and then some. Truly, a history lesson.
Best movie I have seen in the past year. Story well done & told in a manner I appreciated. Actress who played Harriet should have won an Oscar. The movie in my opinion should have won best picture of the year! Well Done!!
Kept my interest throughout. It was a very touching historical story. It moved on in telling the story not over-dwelling beyond sense in any scene. Terrific acting, and outstanding moral.
Harriet was a very powerful film. As a child I loved Harriet Tubman stories but when the movie debuted I decided against seeing it because I'd heard there was a heavy white savior narrative. Im happy to report that was false. The acting, the storyline, the history packed into this film makes it a must see. After all, she's the only African American figure whos been proposed to be on US currency.
This movie was definitely a great and informational movie! Loved it
Harriet was a brilliant and wonderfully done retelling of how Harriet Tub man led the Railroad conductors and freed slaves. It was great. I enjoyed it immensely!
Excellent. Learned so much I didn't know about underground railroad and what the slaves endured.
I liked how closely accurate it is to the true story. It wasn't focused strictly on the suffering but more so on triumph through collaborations, and more importantly, spiritual guidance. Incredible job.
This is an OUTSTANDING Historical Drama. I loved how well the actors played their part. The tie-ins regarding the Underground Railroad and Woman's Suffrage was very nicely done.
Very Good Movie. I would definitely recommend it.
Great bio history movie. What an extraordinary woman Harriet Tubman was
Outstanding drama! Kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole movie. Superb acting!
I thought the movie focused on facts and less on the violence that we all know happens in slavery
I liked how much detail about the story & history it conveyed. What I didn't like was the lack of emotion that it evoked I mean, slavery was a travesty! The people were treated like animals, at best--mistreated, beaten--and while those elements are present, it does not effectively build that up. It also goes through Harriet's travel so quickly that it makes it seem like her escape was fairly simple. That said, I do like that it showed her courage, compassion & determination, and her reliance upon God (something I had not been aware of before).
