Here Comes the Boom Reviews
Kevin James as a MMS fighter. Fat and out of shape. Just like this movie.
Fantastic, funny, fun, good story, must watch with out destruction.
The movie was so bad I died wile watching it and then was redirected from the terribleness 5 stars 🤩
its not a cinematic masterpeice but I found it quite enjoyable good acting very inspiring and the was humour solid (this is coming from a mma fighter btw) in my opinion dont knock it till you try it
Truly inspiring, though a bit corny definitely worth the watch!!!
This is not a comedy, it's just a good movie with lots of inspirational moments. And as an MMA fighter, the fighting choreography and technique etc is so accurate it can be enjoyed without criticism and even closely examined with approval. No wonder Herb Dean, Joe Rogan, Bas Ruten, and Jason Miller agreed to be in it.
GREATEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!!!
A feel good, action packed romp, with a great cast and a classic motto. " don't give up"
Forget the poor reviews. This is a good, old fashioned feel good movie. It might be by the numbers, but the actors all commit fully, and it builds to a predictable but enjoyable climax. Go enjoy!
This type of movie is where professional critics need to be ignored. You have to take it in the context of the genre and not judge it like you would Gone With the Wind. It passed the goose bump test for me. A simple, corny sports related feel good movie but what's wrong with escaping into unfettered nobility and optimism every now and then? Cast was perfection. No Ocar's here but they fit the rolls perfectly. James worked his butt off on this flick. The ending ridiculous but who cares it's where the goose bumps were unavoidable and that was good enough for me.
Here Comes the Boom was an okay movie. I finished just now and I thought it was okay. Here Comes the Boom has humor, but the humor is said in such a formal way that it is not funny. Here Comes the Boom was a really nice movie. My favorite actor was a guy named Henry Winkler who, fun fact, was in Happy Days ( even though I never watched Happy Days ). A lot of this actors joined Kevin James for Paul Blart: Mall Cop and Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2. This was an okay movie. I give it a 64%.
Forget the naysayers that think this movie is a formulaic movie. This is all original with a multicultural cast, each with a distinct personality and contribution. Designed for pure entertainment, not within the purview of reviewers who have lost the suspension of disbelief by having watched too many movies from a critical view. This is a movie for the community to join together to feel and achieve dreams. Hilarious and subtle, it ain't Shakespeare, but each role is perfectly-acted. Kevin James can look back on this timeless movie with pride. My daughter laughed at Winkler's antics, fell in love with the romance, and learned that there are things worth fighting for. Would anyone fight for music? You bet, and if you don't think so you cannot read the space between the notes. Highly recommend.
i made an account on this site just to say how much i love this movie. its simple to the point, motivational and touching. I love the setup and how overcoming crushing odds leads people to accomplish there greatest. also... you know... the fonz is in it so... xD
Entertaining, inspirational, uplifting!
Here Comes the Boom benefits from a superior ensemble cast, and the film delivers more than enough laughs to live up to its awe-inspiring plot.
It delivers big time as a feel good movie. Inspirational and funny enough that teenagers and especially young wrestlers will enjoy this movie.
It started out weak, but the chemistry among the cast members was fantastic. The pacing was all right, no outright lulls and the narrative grows on you. This movie had heart and it wasn't cheesy or corny.
Funny family comedy. Not great but loads of fun
Would have been better if Kevin James had actually gotten in shape for this movie. “You’ve been eating clean” is the funniest line in the entire movie.
Refreshing and Inspiring!
