Hoard  Reviews

This film is a thoughtful examination of the impact of parental mental illness. It has a real vintage feel to it, reminiscent of 1960's b/w kitchen sink dramas such as Poor Cow. I was really surprised it was a recent production. The acting is 100%, and I felt it was a welcome reminder that although we don't all dance to the same beat, there is beauty and love in lives that can be incomprehensible and chaotic to the mainstream eye. Having worked in social services this film would make good required viewing for trainee social workers. It has the feel of future curriculum viewing.

Absolutely amazing, best film I've seen in a long time. Acting was 10 out of 10, such a unique and weird film, I just loved it .... it's definitely a must see.

A horrible film with (apart from Samantha Spiro’s performance) no redeeming qualities whatsoever, and a borderline trite and offensive depiction of the nature causes and treatment of mental disorder.

entire movie made no sense

I walked out … absolutely obnoxious. The repulsive scene with the mother’s ashes was the final straw.

After 45 minutes, I thought "so, everybody involved is badly damaged and their actions make no sense. Where is this going?" At the end I concluded everybody involved is badly damaged, their actions make no sense, and it didn't go anywhere. Two stars for the lead actress, who inhabits her character to the extent that she seems possessed. The rest of the film gets a zero. Extremely poor character and plot development. To cite just one example - we're supposed to believe Michael's girlfriend seems to calm down and forgive him just that easily in the end?!

You will really enjoy this film if you enjoy feeling uncomfortable. And I mean that in a good way.

Honestly I think the movie of hoard is not my favorite movie, why am I supported to them, it’s kinda discussing but I hate Michael and Maria, they’re the worst characters in the film, and I don’t like Joseph Quinn too

An incredibly strange but beautiful story. Luna Carmoon is definitely someone to look out for and I cannot wait to see where her career goes from here. Saura Lightfoot Leon and Joseph Quinn put on a breathtaking performance!
