Honest Thief Reviews
Honest Theif. Not as fun as Retribution. Stilll ok. 3.0 stars
Liam Neeson doing what he does best. Kicking ass. Never disappoints.
While certainly nothing we haven't seen Liam Neeson do before, an above average script and solid work from his supporting cast make this version of Taken well worth a watch.
Very entertaining, well written and lots of stars doing a fantastic job. Lots of action with a little bit of humor at just the right time.
Liam Neeson deserves better. Almost 2 hours of my life I'll not get back.
Liam Neeson please STOP taking these scripts. Surely you have enough cash stashed away from Taken outtakes to move on. Filled with pointless gun pointing, a derivative script and unlikely characters poorly paced with zero arc and a feel good ending which doesn’t make the viewer feel good at all combine to make this filler instantly unforgettable.
3.25 stars. Nothing much new in the plot, but a solid action thriller that, as usual, Neesam delivers.
A Solid Heist with a Touch of Heart (Spoiler-Free) Honest Thief offers a refreshing twist on the classic heist film. Liam Neeson sheds his usual action hero persona to play a reformed thief with a conscience, and the film explores themes of redemption and second chances. Here's what this flick steals your attention for: • Unique Premise: The idea of a "good" thief trying to go straight adds a layer of intrigue and makes you root for the protagonist. • Neeson's Subtlety: Liam Neeson delivers a nuanced performance, showcasing a vulnerability not often seen in his action roles. • A Touch of Romance: The unlikely romance between Neeson's character and a quirky art dealer adds a surprising charm to the film. • Action with Consequence: The fight scenes, while well-done, have weight to them, highlighting the toll violence takes. However, Honest Thief doesn't quite crack the vault on a perfect score: • Somewhat Predictable: The plot unfolds in a fairly linear fashion, with few surprises for seasoned film viewers. • Limited Character Depth: While Neeson shines, some of the supporting characters feel underdeveloped. • Uneven Pacing: The film drags a bit in the middle section, before picking up the pace again for the climax. Honest Thief is a decent heist film with a surprisingly heartwarming core. Liam Neeson brings his star power to the role, and the film offers a unique twist on the genre. While it might not be a mind-blowing cinematic experience, it's an enjoyable watch for a relaxed evening. Earning a 3.5 out of 5 stars, Honest Thief is a solid choice for those looking for an entertaining action film with a touch of heart. Worth the time investment!!! - Matthew
Terrible acting, totally unbelievable plot, horrendous special effects (fire scene you will know)....but mildly entertaining if you have absolutely nothing to do. And by nothing I mean nothing.
Ok but unremarkable.
A amazing movie but really, when has Liam Neeson ever disappointed us in a film. Good for all ages and just a tasteful film. The story line is phenomenal so if you haven't watched it then stop what you are doing and go watch it.
So bad! The whole movie is just lame cliche one liners. No story, no reason for any of the events that occurred. Honestly felt like watching a movie written by a 10 year old child. Makes me glad the writers are on strike, cos they won't make any more of this drivel. **Spoiler** the whole premise was stupid. If Tom told Annie he was a theif she would have kept the $9 mill, not told him to go to jail FFS. would have saved 70+mins of nonsense. . Good acting by a great cast. Pity about the dialogue and premise 🤮
It's in the vein of Liams other later movies. He seems to have type-cast himself in this kind of roles the last 15-20 years. But he also delivers, again, so I won't argue against. Quite good this one.
OK, it may not be the greatest movie in the world, but it's well worth watching. I don't understand the professional critics giving such a low rating but I do understand why the audience reviews are so high. Liam Neeson, Walsh and others, do a marvelous job with an underwhelming script.
What a thriller! Great movie.
Very interesting movie! Definitely will rewatch it
i like watching movies. to fill my boredom. even every day there is time for it.🤩
Worth watching movie.
The plot of the movie is simple, but very good
I LOVE Liam, but I am sorry to say that this specific movie was mostly very poorly executed. Liam's acting, as usual, was great. The concept of the movie itself was promising but the storyline and script was very childish, poorly developed, and silly. All of the other actors, with the exception of Liam, were amateurish. Also, the ending was not only predictable, but very childish. That said, it was not boring to watch. It was engaging. Sadly, it was a mess and it was disappointing to see Liam partake in it.
