Hostel Part II Reviews
People have spoken so highly of this film, but in the end it's just a satire of how banal life is and a social critique.
Although there is a significant amount of sadistic gore that will satisfy fans of the original, the storyline is lacking in that it simply replays much of the original. The only significant changes being flipping the gender roles of the main cast, and almost idiolizing the community that is actually doing these things instead of rooting for the victims.
Good gore scenes, the screenplay isn't very good.
This film was not much different from the first film, it just repeated the first one but just chaged the genders of the main characters.
While the gore is amplified and the shocks are more abundant, Hostel Part II follows the same narrative structure, and characterizations from it predecessor; it tries nothing to better itself. The only respite being the vile brutality, for those wanting a bloody tint to their horror.
This one was pretty good, slow in the beginning, but then it vecome interesting. Love to watch some dumb b*thes getting slaughtered in a good horror movie. The blood shower torture was very creative and cool.
A real letdown from the first installment, which actually was a bit sick, but it had some creative aspects to it with some good horror/ Gore elements but this one is really lame with long stretches with nothing happening, very few moments of pure terror and overall just completely dull and a waste of time.
Boring and predictable. They gave away the ending halfway through the movie.
I'll never understand the hate for this movie and it's predecessor. It's a creative film that continues the story of the original in a clever way with relatable characters, solid storyline, acting, locations, visuals and and generates a legitimate sense of dread while making you laugh. It exceeded my expectations as a sequel to a movie I liked quite a bit. That's not easy to pull off. I'd recommend this movie to anyone who enjoyed the original Hostel.
Not as good as the first one, but it was fun to watch
Some of the acting is so bad it's funny, but I liked it better than the first Hostel. The murders in Hostel 2 are gory, but they are not as disgusting as the ones in the original.
Clearly only existing to outdo the violence the first hostel presented, Hostel II is a bigger challenge to stomach, but it's this excessive violence that makes it hard to ignore.
More gore and torture than the first installment. Essentially the same as the first movie, but the protagonists are women instead of men.
this is one of my favourite one so much gore and fun movie to see only one time
meh. 6/10 liked the nudity though
Very similar to Hostel part 1, almost like a mirror image in a bland way. There is less mystique and atmospheric suspense and it is even less brutal and gory. Works as a fine extension to part 1 but is definitely not as good.
Don't bother is a waste of time
Hostel 3 a mindless sequel to a gritty franchise.
What may happen if you stay in a certain type of hostel.
A glorified *snuff* film is the same for all Hostel movies...
