If you're going to make a reboot/remake at least remember it's supposed to be a comedy. A total disservice to the original cult classic.

This was a hilarious movie with a very simple plot. It’s a great movie if you just wanna sit back and chill and laugh. It’s nice change from movies that are jam packed with stuff.

House Party de 2024, es extremadamente simple, pero llena de estilo, excesos y cameos épicos, una película que más allá de buscar ser propositiva, busca que pases un buen rato, y me parece que lo logra en creces., Kid Cudi y Lebron James entre cientos de artistas se roban el show en un bromance clásico. Una trama llena de humor y surrealismo que cubren a una historia sin mucho más que ofrecer. Una película hecha para los amantes de Los Ángeles.

This movie was horrible, the casting was horrible…the plot was the only thing good about this movie.

Is it possible to give a movie 1/16th of a star? I had hopes for this because its one of my favorite franchises of all time. I even liked the one with Immature/IMX but gaddamn. THIS WAS AWFUL. An underground illuminati arc where kid cudi gets k!lled? WTF? who thought of that? I'll tell you who....Lebron James. And his awful ass sense of humor.

This House Party reboot definitely has better comedy than it's predecessors and is definitely does better with an interesting plot and story than the other ones which is throwing the party in a celebrities house. This movie is nothing but a modern take on the classic but does the original justice. I will say after the 2nd act, the movie does try to keep the plot going for a longer runtime but a lot of the gags and jokes did have me laugh or chuckle a bit. This movie was produced by Lebron so instead of a musical scene in this one there was a basketball scene which I thought was an odd change but it was still enjoyable to watch. Overall, this reboot succeeds the movies that came before, is the best house party yet with the humor and overall story and will leave you with a good time. B-

The movie was so funny. I can't believe people are rating it poorly. It was a feel-good, hilarious movie with so many unexpected cameos. One review wrote "it had a few cameos" no, it had many and it was great to see them. The Lebron hologram, the illuminate scenes, the dancing, it was all grade A. Please ignore any bad reviews. Watch it yourself. I grew up watching the original house parties and this one was just as funny the only difference is that the main actors are fairly unknown compared to kid and play who were already famous for their music which added to the appeal. Kid and play made a cameo as well.

Seeing how uninspiring this film is all because of nauseating direction by Calmatic, painfully unfunny writing by Jamal Olori and Stephen Glover, and plenty of other poor qualities, it makes one assume that this was BET Original film that someone would see on a regular Tuesday afternoon. I'm delighted I wasn't invited to this House Party.

It was very decent Some of those jokes was kinda off rest fell off flat but outta of everything else did okay from what I've spake Have laughed only few scenes here and there At least they done it something different not tryin make compare to 1990 original own Best part they brought back Is the dance off with Kevin and Damon Two female black women had dance battles White men is tryin not to misjudged black people Positive side Negative Rotimi along with two other actors played as the bullies as they started talking to Kevin during open beginning of a movie Just plain silly Nowhere near as full force to portrayed themselves with their characters Koala bear scene had me weak lol too hilarious Alot of cameos including bunch of rappers even celebrities Is definitely over top notch Dj spinning the record as he scratched till someone was saying order tell a joke made it sound dumb Oh did I mention kid and play made their cameo appearance for immaunti scene ...fulfilled with blood I'm like what in the sam devil is this? The turn it takes at the very end almost made it worth sitting through.

This movie was dumb af and not funny AT ALL. Some classics need to remain a classic and not be done over. Now I have to rewatch House Party I and II just to get this horrible remake out of my memory bank!!

House Party Review. Hay momentos en donde debemos de dejar las peliculas originales quietas este es el caso de House Party en este mes de Enero. Para mis gustos en la comedia esta pelicula carece de todo, humor, buenos actores, momentos que den gracia. La historia son dos amigos Damon y Kevin uno dice ser un supuesto productor de musica en sus comienzos el otro un dj creador de musica y pistas, ambos son sendos batatas que viven con sus padres y trabajan en una compañia de limpieza mediocremente. Toda la trama comienza en la mansión de Lebron James, siendo esta revelada la primera media hora del filme, estos dos de lo malo que trabajan son despedidos en el mismo momento donde estaban ellos en la casa limpiando, Damon tiene la brillante idea de hacer un party en la casa de Lebron ya que el esta fuera del pais en una reunión de meditación. En la realidad las actuaciònes y el guión es de que mediocre y una falta de respeto a los maleantes o Thugs de Los Angeles ya que ppr mi madre que si hay alguien de Compton y ven los 3 tipos que estan detras de Damon y Kevin son los personajes mas basuras en un filme de la comunidad negra y del filme original, lo bueno son los cameos de diferentes artistas musicales y del deporte, obvio que Lebron sale en un momento de la pelicula y se ven caras como Mya, Kid Cudy, Snoop Dogg, Anthony Davis y hasta Juvenile. En fin House Party es la primera desilución de el 2023 en la categoria "comedia" y si no es por algunos de los chistes de Damon esta pelicula es un completo fracaso. Clasificada: D- 3/10 Bad!

An ok movie with a funny premise. This movie shines when it focuses on relationships and what matters. When it deviates (which is most of the movie), it's not that good. It would have been much better if it had gratuitous nudity.
