Insidious: Chapter 3 Reviews
Oooof....
It was not as good as the first two Insidious movies, and I found it really boring. There were some scary moments, but it didn't match the first two.
Lin shaye is probably the saving grace of this film and is definitely the least interesting one out of the series but it's not to say it has a few scares.
Meh. Idk if I'm only idiot having difficulties hearing the conversation then when screams at ear bursting levels ? Made for bad experience.
“The darkest chapter goes back to the beginning.” This is crazier than the first two. Lin Shaye is a treat as always. Stefanie Scott was a gem, as always. 5/5 stars.
Calling the 3rd entry 'the darkest chapter' is the perfect description for "Insidious: Chapter 3" as having writer Leigh Whannell back & now in the directors chair, was the kick the series needed after Chapter 2. Whannell clearly had the understanding to tackle this entry alone & for myself, he delivered the strongest entry in the long running franchise. Chapter 3 is the first prequel in the franchise, continuing the story of Elise (Lin Shaye), I couldn't take another story of the Lambert family & thankfully the side characters of Specs & Tucker are still in the background, as they don't work when having more to do like Chapter 2 & 4. Whannell taking the meaner route, for myself is perfect, from the violent looking plaster cast being smashed against a bed frame & The Man Who Can't Breathe, the series baddest antagonist, with great build up throughout before we get a full look. More importantly, Chapter 3 family relationship is the most believable it's been throughout the 5 entries.
This is probably my favourite out of the 3 main insidious movies. Most of the jump scares actually got me and weren't predictable like millions of other films.
I really liked the characters and actions of the actors
More dramatically heavy & extremely well-acted, Chapter 3 is a surprisingly emotional & gripping prequel that's only lessened by the ridiculous Specks & Tucker, even if that's how the characters are.
It was OKAY. Nothing less, nothing more…
I really enjoyed this movie! The first time around people got confused I heard before I went and seen it, I admit I did too! Being it didn't match with numbers 1 & 2 insidious movies! But it is to a point, due to the ghost busters team! But I really enjoy #3. I hope others enjoyed it too! I still rewatch it to this day!:-) I've watched all of the insidious movies, I of course enjoy and like them all. #2 I feel is one of the other good ones too! I think they all have their sense and feelings of spooks and them creepy that you yourself wouldn't want to go through it! Or would you;-D I hope some more are made and made spookier as they move along! But I do wonder if there'll be anymore insidious movies!?
Not as scary as the original, tries to expand the world beyond the original family and tell Elise's story but poor acting on the main character's part makes this feel more like a B horror movie than a AAA title.
Personally, didn't enjoy it. Makes me worry for the series. 2.5/5
This movie takes everything established by the first two insidious movies and rewrites the rules to fit the script. The "scares" are not scary, and the emotional parts fall completely flat. Absolute waste of time.
"Insidious: Chapter 3" is a delightful addition to the chilling franchise that has kept audiences on the edge of their seats for years. While it may not reach the same terrifying heights as the first one, this third installment manages to deliver a decent threequel that will still make you jump out of your seat.
🍀 4.0/10 Much more scarier than 2 and just I bit better but not by much there is more emotion that won't make you cry but still a nice more personal feel all though it's much more shallow for original ideas to add in the series like the second one did I guess the argument could be made that this is a prequel and it's the origin still a meh chapter for the series. Grade C
This was my least favorite in the franchase. It was super boring.
Good beginning and the suspense building up was good, although during the action it felt like I was watching some kind of disney movie. Some type of "power of friendship/love beats all evil in the world". Disappointing action at the end.
A slight improvement from the second sequel.
Poderia mudar o titulo pra Jumpscare 3
