It Ain't Over Reviews
If you like baseball & have a sense of humor this is a good one for ya.
A well-produced story of Yogi's life, describing how his personality overshadowed his amazing accomplishments as a player. A must see for any baseball fan or fans of stories about loving families and people.
Well made tribute to one of baseball's greatest !
Excellent! Well worth the time and very impressed with what I did not know about Yogi Berra
as a baseball afficionado it was a great tribute to a unique character and one of the all time best. I did not appreciate his incredible achievements... as a Yankee hater it was easy to overlook his career...what a cool dude, he was himself thru and thru
Great! I loved it. I learned a lot. He was a wonderful man.
Well presented, detailed and rather moving.
Yogi Berra is the American Dream, and this documentary captures the subject's charisma and myth at the same time. It's produced by his family so it's not warts and all. It does, at times, annoy with whining about how disrespected Yogi is/was. There is a love story that will bring tears. There is something really special here and it should make everyone with a heart feel better for watching. If you love or even like baseball this is a must. Final Score: 10/10
As a child now to a grown man my HERO was Yogi Berra and still is, this movie is one of the greatest I have seen it covered all aspects of this giant of a man not in stature but in the heart he has shown in growing up in St Louis playing baseball and his time in the Navy and all the time raising with the help of his forever love Carmen his family and how he steered his children to the better ways of life. His MLB years where he holds many records even to this day was in my opinion one of the greatest to play this game and finally all of his Yogi statements throughout his life time still to this day stay in the hearts and minds of many. Thank You Yogi for all that you have done and accomplished in your lifetime. You will always be #1 to me. God rest you and Carmen and God bless you both.
outstanding movie of a legend in baseball
I grew up in the Yogi era but wasn't a NY fan, so didn't know Yogi's story until now. Wish I had learned much earlier, he's a genuine marvel of a sportsman and human being. Great movie!
Even better than I thought it would be . Fantastic . What a story and life ! Well done
Touching movie. Worth seeing to learn more about the Yogi Berra we thought we knew.
What an incredible man, what an incredible history! He's a true testament to never giving up and that if you put the work in, you can achieve anything.
The story is good. I really wish the movie was longer and the clips of interviews were played in real speed. The voiceover lost it for me. If the story was not so compelling, I would recommend skipping this. The movie is clips of interviews and footage with voice over. The emotion and connection is lost when you cannot sync the speaker with their words. I don't think the voiceover style did this documentary justice.
Outstanding film! Beautifully edited with some great footage and heartfelt interviews with Yogi's closest friends and family, even as a Yankees fan and baseball history addict, I learned some new things! This is a must watch for baseball fans and even rookies of the sport.
I rarely give five star ratings, but this documentary about Yogi Berra was one of the best programs I have ever watched.
Fantastic movie about a great athlete and personality. Everyone of a certain age knows of Yogi Berra but they don't know what they don't know about this larger than personality and family man. Hopefully a new generation will learn about Berra! A must see.
Not only about baseball but how public perception can overshadow one's professional accomplishments, the film makes an excellent case for Berra being one of the game's all-time greats. Certainly no one will ever win 10 WS rings as a player these days. We should appreciate him as a player and pop culture icon. A lot of the film focuses on the man himself - his love for his family, especially his wife Carmen, his role in welcoming players like Jackie Robinson and Larry Doby into MLB, his Naval service on D-Day, his feud with Steinbrenner - and shows us the world needs more people like Yogi.
Unexpectedly Fantastic. Well Directed and edited. Learn so much about Yogi Berra the player and his iconic history with the Yankees. Inspirational for players that don't look like ball players. Will watch it again with my kids.
