The Jackal Reviews
Bruce Willis is the best and deserves 5 🌟 but the movie isn't top and the other players seems more annoying then good.
A great Bruce Willis movie. Good casting and well-paced. Gere to me was very annoying and I was really rooting for The Jackal by the end of the movie. A fun flashback to the late 90's.
En endeløs rekke av logiske brister, men fint filma - kan på ingen måte anbefales.
I don’t think Mr. Gere gets enough credit for his work in this movie. I like seeing him play parts like these.
Decent entertainment from the period when Bruce Willis was firing on all cylinders. Kind of a formulaic James Bond type story where the bad assassin has problems using the Washington DC metro, while the good guy saves the day but not necessarily all the girls. There is a scene towards the end where the good guy finds himself in the narrow space between two speeding subway trains, which if it didn’t involve any trickery, is pretty impressive.
Whoever has given this a one star has got mental issues
The irish accent was dubious, well acted mostly, good but predictable , well paced, ultimately unremarkable but not a waste of time/.
Enjoyable Saturday night popcorn thriller. Worth watching for Bruce Willis' many hairstyles and Richard Gere's appalling Northern Irish accent, if that's even what it is. Don't ask too many questions and it's a reasonable example of a kind of action thriller you rarely see now. Bit of a shame that both Gere and Willis didn't both die at the end, seeing as they are both horrible criminals.
Richard Gere and Bruce Willis are great actors
This movie is about crime, and it's about Russian crime, and it's about killing a man who was famous for his crimes. therefore, a terrorist in prison was set in motion to find the person who killed him. It turned out to be a really interesting movie
In my opinion, I felt that the movie was very good, behind all this, the filmmaker was able to come up with the right festive details to congratulate the members of the behind-the-scenes team.
There was no real pay off in this movie. I was actually rooting for Bruce Willis, the movie would have been alot better and really challenged the audience had he been successful in his contract. Instead it was one of the more disappointing movies I've ever watched
A cinematic tour de force, Willis’s performance is worthy of best actor and best supporting actor at the same time. Will go down with Citizen Cane and Ben Hur among the big boys.
I don't know how anyone can take this film seriously. It ticks so many cliché boxes: an ice cold and seemingly infallible baddy, an affable Irishman with an IRA past and a score to settle, a brusque Russian with a facial scar, and the FBI doing their best to play by the rules but occasionally bending them. Sidney Poitier's running dive at the end was like something out of Naked Gun. I could only tolerate this film by pretending it was a parody!
With a cast as good as this, it's shocking that The Jackal is so lifeless (even with an unimpressive script). Sidney Poitier is the only one who seems to be genuinely invested in the material. Bruce Willis' turn is especially disappointing. In almost every way, this movie is dull.
Um filme bom que não envelheceu tão bem.
What a waste of talent. This movie falls into group called NOT WORTH WATCHING.
Bruce willis plays the stone cold killer the jackal perfectly.
Underrated movie i find myself watching everytime i cant make my mind on other movies
Excellent cast that brings a lot, the redo of THE DAY OF THE JACKEL relies less on action and more on suspense and building a solid storyline; it's not a special fx fest superhero flick. That said, the flick's suspense does build to action as it should. It's a good story with the right delivery.
