Jaws Reviews
This is a once in a lifetime movie, you will not see movies like this be made in a single lifetime. A movie this successful, this popular, and this influential is a truly once in lifetime movie, and it is a film you should watch before you die.
One of the first movies I saw and it was great. Would have been 10 if it wasn't for the dodgy shark.
I saw it when it forest came out. Scared me to death. But it had become my favorite movie of all time and watch it whenever it's on.
Hello, no discussion great movie, belongs certain to my top 25 movies of all time. And big fan of director Steven Spielberg and actor Richard Dreyfuss.
very good movie.
Classic 1970s movies and one of those movies that scared me as a kid
Come one bro, This film is classic
Jaws is an absolute masterpiece
That movie was amazing 9/10 we're gonna need a bigger boat.
One of the best movies of all time. My favorite Spielberg movie. My Top 10. One of those movies you can watch over and over again.
🌀COLLECTION RATING 97%
it's my 5th fav movie, and one of Steven Spielberg's top 3 best. BTW Spielberg made this in his late 20's
Absolute masterpiece of art, a movie that makes the fear go to your veins that makes you have fear of the water, a classic movie that made changes on the cinema history, and a movie that everyone should watch, and also my favorite movie of all time
Somehow I made it this long without seeing Jaws. I knew a good bit going in, but I was surprised by how much I didn’t know. A movie like this has an insane amount of hype and expectations to live up to, but it truthfully surpassed them. This was an incredible well-written movie with practical effects that hold up 50 years later. A few things in particular stood out to me: 1. Every single character in this movie was three dimensional and dynamic. It would’ve been very easy to fall into archetypes with a movie like this, but even minor characters feel like they have some depth to them. 2. This movie really knows how to play around with your expectations. There were some very clever and subtle moments of misdirection or redirection that really helps to keep the audience in suspense and build tension. 3. The idea that they made the movie around the shark rather than about the shark is a really cool idea. Knowing that they did that because of difficulties with the animatronics on set just adds to that. All around, this is a really great movie. It deserves to be the icon that it is.
One for my top ten movies of all time. The suspense and shock elements to the seat of your pants boat trip never ceases to amaze me - the actors pulling off some great scenes with a lack of any visible shark (thanks to the mechanical prop breaking down during filming), just made the impact of the directing more powerful. Another film demonstrating that the less you see the scarier.
Jaws is the perfect example of, well, a perfect movie. It has some of the best characters ever written, the greatest villain ever written, and some of the best scenes ever written. Jaws has tense horror, but also adventure and wonder to it thanks to the Oscar winning music by John Williams. Side note: I don’t normally put these in my reviews, but this is my favorite movie of all time.
Classic Great Film. Sometimes i just put this movie on when I'm cleaning the house to have as backround noise bc its such a classic and I love the actors and the soundtrack. 5 STARS!!!
Spielberg gave us a masterpiece
