John Wick: Chapter 4 Reviews
4 and 0! Another Perfect Chapter to The John Wick Series! Can they continue this Trend of Great Chapters? Only time will tell with John Wick 5
Similar to Mission: Impossible, the John Wick franchise continues the trend of upping the ante with each subsequent sequel. Chapter 4 is an amazing achievement in action movie filmmaking. Somehow, the one-man-army trope is still made to look believable, which is a testament to everyone involved.
Ótimo filme para quem curte ação. E inclusive, raros os momentos em que o filme tem dialogos. Foi pensado exclusivamente para entreter do começo ao fim.
INCREDIBLE MOVIE. I like that they decided to end it after 4 parts. Still am amazing movie
Four bangers in a row
Intense, top shelf production, but still left me wondering why it's all necessary? Great action even if some of it is over the top.
Leni spiaccicata forte
Absolute garbage. With plot armour even more impenetrable than his ridiculous kevlar suit, John Wick blasts his way through dozens of doomed would-be assasins. The plot was wafer thin - the perforated kind. Clearly Wick was channeling the spirit of the Wolverine at times, being able to survive hits and falls that would have folded mere mortals in half. And, as a massive gunfight rages through the streets of Paris in the early hours, the gendarmerie make not a single appearance. The denizens of France's capital are clearly used to such shenanigans. And while we are meant to wonder at the unbridled opulence of those who sit either at the Table, or can cling to the tablecloth, one is left to wonder why there are bodyguards at every ten paces - these are presumably highly trained goons, who are paid to stand around all day, doing absolutely nothing. They must have had a lobotomy to endure such miserable conditions. The suspension of disbelief was simply far too much for me to manage. At least Laurence Fishburne's ham acting was kept on a tight leash this time around. Ridiculous. Absurdly and offensively self-indulgent. Poking fun at the viewer. Nothing to see here, folks.
I thought we were heading towards realism, then here we are with a blind assassin dodging blades, ducking punches and knowing exactly where to dive and hide. Oh, and the unlimited bullets glitch is back with the occasional running out scene to help us forget the 150 rounds fired from an 18 shot pistol 1 minute prior. I'm not...going...to....touch...on ...Keanu's...terrible...acting. because, he seems like a cool guy who moves well. But, man he cannot speak. Loads of action, cool if you're 12, but too gory for 12 year olds. Just brainless action, trying to pass itself off as a classy franchise.
I'm sorry, I literally fell asleep during this fourth installment of Keanu shoots everybody.
Absolute masterpiece.
I have watched this film more than 10 times and each time it always entertains and the addition of Bill Skasgaard as the Duke was such a treat and a good opponent for John Wick! Pure violence, crazy driving and a nightclub scene that was edge of your seat stuff. It does not matter that Reeves says very little- actions speak louder than words.
Squeezing the last drops of blood out of an empty corpse of a story. Utter nonesense 'plot' that shoots the original concept into a silly fantasy zone. Style over content taken to epic levels ... and it's overlong due to all the self conscious macho posing and painful pauses in the dialogue.
A perfect movie in a perfect franchise. This is a great send off to the character
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Having recently seen Chapter 3, there’s not much different about this installment. I’d be praising the same things: the action and how the technical elements (camera work, editing, sound, and music) enhance it. The production design also deserves a shoutout, as the film continues to deliver and even improve on its creative chase and fight sequences. In terms of plot, it’s similar to the other films, straightforward and not particularly deep or well-developed; but, as always, it doesn’t really need to be. The key difference this time is the extended runtime, which, given the film’s more simplistic story, doesn’t always feel justified. That said, there are standout moments, particularly a stunning bird’s-eye long-take sequence inside an old house, brilliantly crafted and choreographed. The ending also stands out, offering a refreshing break from the high-octane, over-the-top action with a classic, elegant one-on-one duel that pays off the tension built throughout the film. As the fourth installment in the franchise, audiences will likely know what to expect, and it delivers; even if it occasionally feels a bit long.
I really love this one, but not as much as everybody else, i just expected a bit more of it, but i still really liked it. The cinematography in this one is definitely the best of the franchise. The action scenes are so well written and fun. John Wick is one of the best characters of all time. I do think the movie is a bit too long. There are so many charcters which was annoying. I also think the films are all the same, and we don't get to see anything new. But overall, I had a great time and it's my second favourite of the franschise.
exaggerated violence
The perfect ending to an amazing story.
Great movie overall. But they exaggerated John falling down the stairs.
They switched up a lot while staying true the series, was nice to see different scenery & fight scenes. The top-down scene was amazing, duel was a nice touch, the stairs.. the beginning fight in a Japanese Museum room/hotel, the blind assassin, so many cool & new tropes in this one while still remaining same ol John Wick, I enjoyed this one a lot.
