Jungle 2 Jungle Reviews
Great plot! Nostalgia for days. A great story for the entire family!
This Disney comedy was pretty good. Tim Allen, Martin Short, Sam Huntington, JoBeth Williams, Leelee Sobieski, Lolita Davidovich, and the rest of the cast did a pretty good job in this movie. The story of the movie was entertaining and humorous. It's about a father that has a son he didn't know he had and they spend time together in each others' villages. If you haven't seen this movie yet, you might enjoy it. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either.
Excellent 90s movie! Tim Allen ftw.
I enjoyed the humor and the story line wasn't flat.. it's a classic.
The critics had a worse childhood than I did. This movie is awesome.
Starring Tim Allen as a New York City stock broker who finds out he has a 13 year old son who had been living with his separated spouse in tribal Venezuela. This movie has an interesting premise of, basically, two fish out of water stories. But the execution didn't seem to work well. Tim Allen and Martin Short are both really funny men, but the writing for them in this movie didn't allow them to shine and I feel they just used their names to sell movie tickets. I honestly think this movie would have worked better if it was written as a drama and explored the cultural differences of father and son in a real fashion instead of comedic. For a good portion of the first two acts I wanted to turn the movie off to avoid the awkward comedic scenes, but I pushed through! There were a few scenes that got a laugh out of me, but not enough to really recommend this movie to anyone.
Everything about this is very meh. I can't say there is anything about 'Jungle 2 Jungle' that I liked or enjoyed, I don't think it is anything overtly terrible but it's just so boring. None of the cast are memorable, the plot is lazy and the pacing is well off. It does attempt heart, though it doesn't hit all that sharply. The performances of Tim Allen (Michael) and Martin Short (Richard) - though not good - at least keep the film away from the depths of awful. I also think Sam Huntington (Mimi) is alright in this. There's also an appearance from Jumba Jookiba himself, David Ogden Stiers. All in all, It's just a very basic and plain live-action production from Disney. The stereotypical 'jokes' don't help its cause, either.
It tries way too hard but the film is not entertaining.
I loved this movie as a kid and recently watching it again on Disney plus, I don't understand why it is rated so low. Not the best movie ever but still a good one for the family.
Canaima is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Tim and Martin great comedians actors and really entertaining Soft comedy movie.
Jungle 2 Jungle gets some laughs out of Tim Allen's character but it's also surprisingly inappropriate for kids. I'm not saying that children shouldn't be subject to some more risque humour and Disney has shown itself at other times to be not so above it all but there's an appalling amount of animal cruelty and the fact that the son is...not good with women. And these are played for laughs. Jungle 2 Jungle wants to be just another generic family comedy that gives the executives all that $$$ but instead, it's an unintentionally disturbing mess with an actual story involving the Russian Mafia that kids won't care about.
Tim Allen and Martin Short are hilarious in the movie
Tim Allen and Martin Short are funny In this movie
Jungle 2 Jungle is a fairly decent coming of age story for young ones, but that’s pretty much it with a few interesting lessons about adult hood and city life tossed in the mix; Tim Allen has a few funny moments.
Jungle 2 Jungle is a 90's movie through and through. It is a funny and ridiculous, yet is heartfelt and has a good message behind it. Tim Allen in his prime and Martin Short being Martin Short. The story takes us on a ride of Michael Cromwell(Tim Allen) attempting to get a divorce from Patricia Cromwell (JoBeth Williams) ,his wife that left him 13 years prior, so he can get married to his new girlfriend who is a fashion designer in New York City named Charlotte (Lolita Davidovich). Before Michael leaves for the Venezuela to have Patricia sign the divorce papers he purchases a large amount of coffee working as a commodities trader. He and his business partner Richard Kempster (Martin Short) look to unload the coffee to turn a profit. While Michael is in Venezuela he learns he has a son named Mimi-Siku (Sam Huntington), who has been raised in a native tribe since birth. The movie is based around Michael trying to navigate a relationship with his girlfriend while learning how to be a father to a teenage son who has never seen the modern world. Tim Allen's performance is on par with everything he did in the 90's and Martin Short brings a ridiculous character to life. This movie is fun for everyone. It has things that young children will go ga ga over, has things that a growing teenager and relate to, and is hilarious for adults. If you have not visited this movie in a while or at all, I suggest you check it out. It is a quick family fun movie that has stood the test of time. Check us out at broforcesquad.com
Oh, sweet nostalgia, one of my all time favs as a kid. Today, I know it is not a great movie, but it is fun to watch, an entertainment for the whole family and a very rewatchable movie.
