Very boring a waste of time

I honestly don't know why this movie gets so much negativity. For me it was great from start to finish. I like Brad Pitt's performance as the cold blooded but intelligent and cunning hitman Cogan. Rest of the actors did a solid job too. The cinematography and dialogues are pretty entertaining too. The movie's pacing is perfect and the running time is also perfect. I enjoyed it thoroughly

A weak plot. Poorly written dialog. Great actors and mostly great performances. Killing Them Softly has its moments, but it suffers from bad writing. The editing of the violent scenes is very good sometimes and other times it is lousy. I certainly don't strongly recommend this film, but I don't forbid it either. 54/100

Not great and but not terrible either.

Pretty disappointing. reminds me of Seinfeld, a movie about nothing really. you keep waiting for a payoff and it drags along not doing much, let's throw in Tony Soprano for no reason, ok. Skip it

If you didn't watch it, you have missed nothing. Same story you've seen before done in a style where nothing is likeable.

The film had its moments but was extremely dull at times.

Boring. Just lots of nonsensical talking. I guess the writer and director thought they were being witty or something. But lots of exposition that isn't exposition. And then it ends.

Pure torture to watch. It checked all the boxes on what makes a cheesy movie. Big name actors selling out for horrible scripts.

Hard to understand why it has so low rating. Amazing aesthetic movie with joyful yet monstrous characters… a tuned down Tarentino but delivered by some of the best dark movie actors ever, offsetting your expectations at each turn and still raucously entertaining.

Rambling, all over the place, book probably made sense but this script was terrible

I loved this.It seems to draw strong reactions, both negative and positive, but my advice?.don't over think it.Excellent actors, clever dialogue, a not oblique reference to a time and place,and lots of shoot em up.

Trama non particolarmente originale ma svolgimento abbastanza peculiare per i ritmi blandi, i dialoghi lenti ma densi di significato ed una narrazione che cerca di opprimere la possibilità di scelta spingendo la trama verso un finale che sembra impossibile da evitare. Sicuramente punto a favore sono le interpretazioni garantite da un cast di altissimo spessore, seppure alcuni personaggi sono utili solamente a riempire gli spazi lasciati da una trama riassumibile in poche sequenze. L'assenza di emozioni voluta è un'arma a doppio taglio che produce un buon prodotto che però non ha minimamente la possibilità di eccellere.

Excited to watch this due to the cast bug it was such a climatic fail. Nothing happened, lots of talking. Save yourself.

Terrific acting by some elite actors. The script is great, for those who appreciate characters and elite acting beyond anything else

I had high expectations for this movie and it was kind of boring to me. One of many movies I've only watched once.

Just listened to the kick-ass final parting words of the cold-blooded killer and he could NOT have been more right ! "America's not a community - it's a business" - and just like the killer who says these words - it's a cold blooded one. In this film you can't love him and you can't quite bring yourself to hate him but one thing I have to say about Brat Pitt in the title role here - he was born to play it. Although he has in the past come off a little silly in other roles (Achilles), he absolutely shines playing any species of degenerate. That and comic roles (Burn After Reading) he takes in full stride, persuasive and convincing. And never were so many stunning performers brought together in one place, every one of them deporting themselves with characteristic style and panache.

It's dull, boring, tiring to sleep softly... watch & forget it
