What a great movie! I enjoyed the humor, and the development of Dr Kinsey as a character. What a smart flick!

It’s a pornographic and disgusting

A useful look at the subject in a Wikipedia entry sort of way and a reminder that attempts to validate anything other than purely binary relationships will always make people uncomfortable. Otherwise, not particularly interesting.

“Everybody’s sin is nobody’s sin”

Purposefully lies about the man and his research to make him out to be some sort of hero. No mention of the pedophiles he employed or his sadomachism towards himself and especially children. The real Kinsey was a disgusting human being who favored perversion and child molestation over basic humanity and values

Very interesting film and, in some ways, contextualised even today, with attempts to clear the taboos present in every era.

Most viewers watching Kinsey will already be aware of Alfred Kinsey's role in research as it relates to human sexuality. However, the controversy surrounding the work he did often overshadowed Kinsey's humanity and the methods he employed when conducting his studies. Bill Condon's film helps to fill in the blanks, showing Kinsey (Liam Neeson) to be a compassionate, loving and methodical man who, despite his considerable attributes, at times suffered from self-doubt and insecurity. Kinsey, the film, is fearless in its tenacity when dealing with sensitive material and the viewing experiencing is riveting from beginning to end thanks to an intelligent script and strong performances from a fantastic cast.

Kinsey was an intriguing man who developed an academic career around his sexual proclivities which is any tenured man's dream, for sure. This film had a gray take on the whole thing--it was okay--but, it wasn't an artistically rendered piece. It wasn't shot very interestingly, nor was the dialogue interesting, though it is interesting to see when they take an interesting man and dull the whole tale down to what taking a Valium in the 1950s might feel like, although--taking a Valium might be preferable to this film? I am speaking about this film from quite a distance, as I saw it when it came out, then did an open mic routine about Kinsey which was going well until the drunk spins cut off my act and erased my brain memories so all I could go was "Superman...Sex...Uhhh...............Bye Bye" and stumbled off stage and went straight to vomit. I haven't discussed Kinsey in public nor had a drink since, so hopefully I'm not relapsing here.* *Alcoholics, have you tried Kombucha? Kombucha is the crutch of some former alcoholics, as it is too expensive and tastes as horrible as any craft beer. You can show off to your alcoholic friends as they back away from your cup of vinegar, "There's lavender and mint and a mother in this you hop-y wimps!".

The performances were great but I wish they would have spent more time on the impact of Kinsey's life and work than the sex.

It was definitely a thought provoking, especially for the time period it was in. Liam Neeson and Laura Linney are compelling leads and anchor an uncomfortable, yet eye opening experience that isn’t one to miss

This was a pretty good movie. A lot of people think its inaccurate, but who knows. The spirit is in the right place. Knowledge is power, and just because taboo subjects are involved doesn't mean we should shy away.

An outstanding biopic. Liam Neeson commands with his central and involving performance while the rest of the promising cast help lift such an entertaining life story to impressive cinematic heights. It manages to have a profound eye-opening message, unexpected dramatic turns and subtle comedy all within it's 2 hours. I wholeheartedly applaud this film.

Kinsey is an excellent film. It is about the life of Alfred Kinsey, a pioneer in the area of human sexuality research. Liam Neeson and Laura Linney give fantastic film. The script is good but a little slow in places. Bill Condon did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this movie because of the drama. Kinsey is a must see.

At the centre of this biographical film charting the life and work of Alfred Kinsey is a stellar performance by Liam Neeson, easily one of his best performances. The rest of the cast put in solid performances, I love the plot and the script, the score is decent and it does a great job of showing the repression of sexuality and how much help Kinsey gave to thousands of people through his work and determination.

historically innacurate after the second book, but a very original approach to a '60s revolution film' nonetheless.

Close to if not he greatest source oppression is sexual repression & nonconsensuality as well as its handmaiden of ignorance & misinformation. A society cannot claim to be free if its not sexually free at one & the same time. Embracing sexual variability is essential to all other expressions of & struggle for liberation.

Film felt rather condensed and rushed at parts, but that is understandable as they tried to tell a lot. A film about a man who I feel, left his mark and did a significant first step (perhaps he did not approach it not 100% right, but here it did not go into too much detail), and maybe he went a bit too far in his attempt to discover all that he wanted, but it sure was a great first step. Sure, with controversy and criticisms but then, many great things start like that too. Significant film, as it tells a story about a significant person. Rather good acting at parts, but as a story and editing I thought I will overlook it.

From great performances from Liam Neeson and Laura Linney, Kinsey gives us a on scientific look at sex

This felt like a standard biopic in many ways, but I really enjoyed it. It was really interesting to get an insight into Kinsey's personal life as well as his scientific work.

Dr Kinsey is a respectable man. What he achieved and contributed are invaluable. Great performance from Liam Neeson.
