Kites Reviews
Watched after 14 years and 2 months after it was released. I was obsessed with the songs since I was in 5th standard. Don't know why it took me so many years to watch this film for the first time. But it was worth watching the movie. Loved the roller coaster ride of joy, love, action, revenge, and tragedy. ❤️🥰
First word came to my mouth is WOW.... Amazing...not a typical bollywood movie and movie ending also not the same as bollywood ever did. It's a worth to watch, movie never disappoint you at any point, romantic ,thriller action, if someone say it's a worst I wanna tell them dude I think your taste is different and you are watching wrong movie, great story by Rakesh Roshan and director anurag basu hot are always awesome. I'm telling about a story just go and watch..
SPOILERS AHEAD, CONTINUE AT YOUR OWN WILL AND RISK While the film is okay the ending leaves some of the audience (like myself) disappointed.
Kites is a fun little Indian flick. Filmed primarily in Las Vegas and Mexico Kites is a mix of Spanish Novella and Bollywood and it works surprisingly well. Though Kites offers nothing special it is a fun little romp that will entertain for its two hour runtime.
Lemme just say that the leads are portrayed as being so blindingly and stereotypically attractive, that they just put me off. It is very stylish I suppose, but where's the substance? That being said, I was mildly entertained here. It was over the top of course, and I expect that with Bollywood, but the love story behind it just didn't pull me in as others have done. Too many cliches and unrealistic stuff happening here. I just didn't see the "effervescent charm" here RT claimed. I think there are way better Bollywood films out there.
Thoroughly overwrought in true Bollywood fashion, Kites is deeply flawed -- and too effervescently charming to resist.
Hay Jesus Cristo! He is hot! She sucks! Photography looks nice and audio is average. Script: average. I enjoyed the good company who was with me, other than that... Neah!!
A weak and cliche story of lovers on the run (though to me it looked like just two pretty people infatuated with each other in the shallowest sense). Would have loved the ending more if it wasn't so obviously 'inspired' by much better films like 'Thelma and Louise'.
