Knock Down the House Reviews
Knock Down the House is an incredible documentary about everyday women entering politics in order to help change systematic inequalities. The film inspired me to believe in the possibility of change at such a high level. It allows its viewers to have courage and stand up for what they believe in at such a crucial time of political conditions.
Great powerful remarkable documentary! This is what is needed, ordinary people representing ordinary people.
So I wasted my time watching this because of the critics scores. This is terrible . dont even watch this
Look at the discrepancy between the hand-picked rotten tomato critics's scores and that of the general public's. This tells you all you need to know. This was amongst the worst drivel I have suffered through in a long time. I did so because I tried to be open-minded that it wouldn't be the worst thing I have watched this year. Oh what a foolish boy I was. I can never get back those minutes that I otherwise could have used to engage in worthwhile, productive and/or thought-provoking activities. Please do not make the same mistake as I did. Use your intuition, avoid this drivel like it's the plague.
Exciting, moving, and rewarding. Audiences of intellect will find plenty to enjoy here. Ignore the trolls, and be inspired.
Do not be fooled by the audience score, this is a GOOD documentary (and if it's not good, it's at least DECENT). Yes, it can be boring at times (like most documentaries in my opinion) but the interconnected stories of different people who are all trying their best under impossible circumstances is inspiring in a way unlike most movies, because this is REAL. You'll see the wonderful hard work of these four women and wish that you were out there doing something of your own.
Disconnected from reality.
Wow... fantastic documentary! I loved it. Finally nice to see a woman in the Democratic party speak up for the rights of ordinary people!
Knocked down drag out Snooze fest
I know Netflix will put out some real stinkers. More often than not that's what they put out there. But this? This gives new meaning to the words "WTF WERE YOU THINKING".
Fantastic documentary! Watched it multiple times.
At its heart, Knock down the house is an expertly crafted fish out of water/David and Goliath story. I found myself profoundly moved by each woman's story. If you view this film through a particular lens, you may disagree.
Dramatic, exciting documentary of historic elections that saw progressive underdog candidates win important national elections. Exciting!
I saw the critics score of 100% so I thought this must be amazing. I feel like I must have watched a completely different movie than the ones they watched. It was absolutely terrible and it actually made me dislike Alexandria Cortez after it was all over. I now see the audience score and I would say it is much more accurate compared to the critics. From now on I'm only using the audience score as a go-by. No way I can trust the critics ever again after this terrible experience.
A fascinating and emotionally moving documentary that highlights the highs and lows of grassroots campaigns across the country. I loved learning about the motivation that drives the incredible women featured and the passion they take into their respective races.
Yikes, that was bad but what do you expect considering the abysmal protagonist lmao AOC is as brainy as an empty bucket.
All these chuds giving 1 stars cause they're petty and don't understand how RT even works. Watch the movie. It's inspiring stuff
LOL at all the Republicans who conspired to give Knock Down The House a low audience score, but as a non-US observer, this documentary was entertaining and emotionally powerful. The critics were right that this is 99% certified fresh.
