All the good movies on Netflix I have now watched and I am now watching the ones I rejected first time round. However, I came across Larry Crowe ( with an ‘e’) Q hysterical laughter and I’m afraid to say that was about the only laugh in the film. I like Tom Hanks and that’s the reason I watched it as most of his movies are worth watching. This was one of the worst movies I have seen in a very long time, lame stereotypes and absolutely no substance Don’t waste your time on this.

don’t exspect too much of a rom-com but with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts? i mean it’s very cute and simple there is nothing more to say

Despite the superb cast it is quite boring and a simple story.

I thought this was so boring. I love Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks so I was really looking forward to seeing this movie. I can't even remember if I watched all of it. I can't remember much about the story even. I definitely would find something else to watch.

Somehow I liked the movie while watching it, and ended up not caring about the characters, story or film at all as soon as it was over. About the best completely forgettable movie I can remember seeing, if I'm reminded I saw it.

The comedy is mild and a bit trite at best while romance is way too surface-level. Long airplane ride fodder.

REDISCOVER LIFE AND LOVE Larry Crowne is a 2011 American romantic comedy film directed by Tom Hanks 🎭 Meh, it passed the time. Sort of. 😕 This movie seemed very disjointed with a wafer thin plot… When he suddenly finds himself without his long-standing blue-collar job, Larry Crowne enrolls at his local college to start over. There, he becomes part of an eclectic community of students and develops a crush on his teacher.

I love this movie, maybe it's bland and conventional, compared to all the movies you've made. I enjoyed it, saw more than a little reality in it. Made me want to get a scooter. NRJ.

Good hearted Larry is easy to root for, as Cedric the Entertainer provides enough chuckle to balance the downtrodden Roberts, to a satisfying finish for all.

This is your average rom com movie, with two great actors trying their best to keep it afloat. With that being said I still find it charming and worth a watch.

This is a feel good, light hearted watch. It has some serious themes but tonally its quite a light watch. I like the optimism aspect of it and Hanks plays another likeable character. If your keen on Tom Hanks as an actor then you'll likely enjoy this. Its not an entirely memorable film but its got some nice dialogue and its an enjoyable shortish watch that I'd recommend to others.

This has to be the textbook example of why a movie star should never believe their own press, it should be the shining example of why no-one should be allowed to write AND direct AND star AND produce their own movie. I love Tom Hanks, my favourite movie of all time is Joe Versus The Volcano, but it is clear to me that Tom is now surrounded by people who tell him what he wants to hear rather than the truth. This movie should never have been given oxygen, it is truly toe-curling. Timing, chemistry, dialogue, storyline, use of music, engagement, even commitment were all off-target and i'm not measuring in millimetres. Mr. Hanks you need new friends, or if they were telling you not to do something, you need to start listening. A terrible terrible terrible film!!!!

My point of view is skewed. I know how devastating it is to be laid-off. Then going back to school as an adult, getting a degree and discovering talents and abilities you didn't know you had. I loved the movie. From the point of view, that it had no gun fights and no explosions, it sucked.
