Let It Snow Reviews
My new Xmas tradition...this is a GREAT movie... Not even going to read all the negative reviews. Just assume those people are the ones with coal in their stocking. Soundtrack is AMAZING. trying to find it
How can you not love this! A great, feel good film for Christmas, 5 stars!
Fun coming of age movie. The stories work and the cast brings it to life really well.
This was rather depressing for a Christmas movie! Definitely well acted but don't except it to lift your spirit and get you into the festive mood!!
The movie was cliche however the cast was very likable. Liv Hewsome is the one friend everyone wants to have growing up that keeps a person grounded. The movie portrayed some traditional roles of drinking and minor bullying. However the movie did not go over the cliff. Every scene was pulled back and became an enjoyable moment. I think this movie is one for the holidays because the entire cast is so likable. I would recommend this movie.
Ned leeds from spider man is in the movie only reason I gave it a one star
Just an all-around lovely film to watch. The relateable stresses in the movie actually serve as an amazing pressure-release valve, for when you're feeling overwhelmed for personal or financial reasons during the holiday season. Are there some sappy parts? YES. However the casting is pitch perfect; the differing characters play really well off each other.
Every line of dialogue made my ears cry
liked it somehow. it was almost like the Xmas version of "Empire Records". Recommend it.
great movie, great cast and a great story.
Very shallow "feel-good" Christmas movie...
For what a good movie it is, I consider it undervalued, the original song by Shameik Moore is good and the stories have their own shine. A kind of "love actually" but coming of age.
I enjoyed this Christmas story as it had an entertaining cast along with a few different storylines that were humourous in the teenage drama realm.
Look, know what you are getting into—Let It Snow has plenty of cliche roles, teenage drama, and scratch-your-head situations. But it manages to keep the eye role moments to enough of a minimum, and be endearing enough to win you over. It's reminiscent of a modernized Can't Hardly Wait set around the holidays, but takes itself more seriously and doesn't have as wacky, or memorable, characters. That said, it's entertaining, and has some great moments. The "Whole of the Moon" scene in the church is an instant classic in its own right.
Is it me or does Odeya Rush kinda look like a younger version of Mila Kunis? Anyhow I watched this because Kiernan Shipka was in it, was it worth it...I am not sure, the script was not interesting actually kind of boring...it was like watching the daily lives of uninteresting kids similar to that of watching paint peel for an hour and a half. Maybe it was designed to be watched by young teenagers as it maybe relatable to them...not sure. I didn't understand how Tobin I think his name was, anyhow the friend of Kiernan's character could just do nothing after getting knocked down 3 times from the Reston's brothers during broom ball. If it was me, 1st time I would shake it off, 2nd time I would get very angry, 3rd time I would break my stick over that guys head take his stick and break it over his head again then stab him with the sharp pointy end if he gets up and tries anything. As for the car chase...I am not sure about the United States but it's mandatory to have winter tires in Canada during the winter which is where this movie was filmed so they would never have stalled on that grade of a slope but that's just me nit picking. Anyhow, after more scenes of making me want to fall asleep, everything works out for everyone and the movies done, thank God.
Cliche in a bad, trying-hard-to-be-quirky, the-acting-and-writing-failed kind of way. The side plot of the tin-foil lady, which never gets answered by the way, is a supreme waste of Joan Cusack - and it wasn't even funny.
Trash, it's just trash. This is another example of making a check list of "identities" to cast then writing a story. The acting is inconsistent, the plot is thoughtless, lazy and weak, but hey, there is at least one of every kind of person there is. I guess that matters to some people? But to normal people, we want a great story, no one cares if someone is gay or a PoC, just make a good movie for the love of god.
Good enough to enjoy closing in on Christmas
