Most people will say it's a knock off of Alien movies and in some ways it is however to copy a successful franchise you need to do it right and Life did that. What I liked was the different approach of the ending and the how the creature was portray to created a menacing yet mysterious species. What I dont like was how at times it was too easy especially if you seen Alien movies to predict what happens next. However that said it's a good movie for horror/Thriller fans.

Better, more terrifying and intriguing than the Alien films. The only downside was the highly predictable and telegraphed ending. Watched on Netflix.

Not many horror stories are set in space, but Life takes full advantage of this notion. Reminiscent of The Thing, it follows a lethal alien life form as it slowly makes its way through scientists in complete isolation. Dread and uncertainty take center stage throughout the film, culminating in a shockingly twisted ending you won't see coming.

Thought it was pretty good. Turn the brain off a little bit and it’s great. Fun and entertaining movie. Excellent cast as well.

The astronauts in this movie are way too stupid. They continue to make mistake after mistakes and not take the threat seriously. They all deserve to die. I hope real life astronauts and NASA are not this stupid.

Lots o Actors, stuck in a very difficult predicament, with lots of gross/scary parts. The CGI is a bit off, but as a total the film is worth the watch.

Terrible movie. Highly trained astronauts making irrational decisions throughout the whole movie. Ending was manipulative by showing the audience a series of shots making us think one thing was happening when really the opposite was. Total crap.

The movie is short but sweet, goes straight to the point, yeah not much dialogue and not much action or emotions but still had that uh oh factor and that anxious feeling when you watch this movie overall a good watch and ending was a good twist I had a feeling it was going to end that way but wasn’t for sure until well you just have to watch it.

Don't go looking for a reinvigoration/reinventing of the genre, but this was very enjoyable. Just have to get over some silliness from what you would think are literally the smartest and cool-under-pressure humans the world has to offer

Anytime I see a sci-fi movie where a crew of unsuspecting scientists test the life on mars....I get skeptical. This movie changed all that. It is equally as creepy and horrific. There was at least a few scenes that I had to not look at because of the gore and deep horror. The plot and premise is pretty straightforward, but where the story captivates you is in the clear danger the organism presents towards your survival. There is also a great plot twist at the end. I highly recommend this.

Decent flick, could have been engaging and suspenseful.

It's not terrible, but it's another Alien imitator. The problem with that is the story is the same old, same old story. If you want something to watch while you're busy, this is the one.

Kind of mediocre with a few flaws and the ending was subpar. Kind of can be summed up as a whole as just who and why would open the door and then they keep opening it for no other reason than to perpetuate the story.

Got 30 minutes into it and realized it was an 'Alien' reboot.

Not much to say, very by the book movie. Acting wasn't anything great. Ending was ok.

Entertaining enough but frustrating in many ways. They just needed to spend another 2 weeks on the writing and that could have been a much better movie.

Not perfect by any means, but this is a fresh and exciting tilt into a crowded genre that genuinely does a few things unexpected. It's got a great cast and a captivating premise. For reasons I can't share in the review, this'll likely be a film you reference for years because it takes some brave swings and - generally - I think it hits most balls out of the park. Of course it's not a classic, nor is it poignant, nor making any great statement of commentary. But as a contained narrative around encountering a complex and adaptable extraterrestrial life-form, it's fabulous.

It is the real Alien movie that would possibly happen in our time, on the reallistic technological point of view. Humanity does not navigate from mining planets at years light constellations far away, of thousands of tons. Like Nostromo, BUT we have space stations orbiting arround the Earth like the far more modest ISS. With the finance help of many countries as the concept of a Nostromo type vessel would be in terms of financing and other technical features only posible in sci-fi. The alien organism, like in the movie, would far likelly be mono or few poly-cellular one instead of a complex organism with complete organs like the alien creature. That is what makes the translation of the alien movie concept to one that could be feasible and happen from the technological side of wiew of our time. You may then bellieve or not that this organism would be able to grow as fast as It does in the movie. Which i dont bellieve It would be posible. But that is the part that we leave for the science fiction that makes It ejoyable, apart from the great casting and solid performances. Wonderfull movie, an instant classic.
