Limitless Reviews
A very entertaining fairy tale for adults. There are constant twists a turns that keep the viewer absorbed. It never gets boring or completely unrealistic, as long as we accept that there is a magic drug that supercharges the human intellect. Under its influence a failing fiction writer played by Mr Cooper completes his next book in four days which then becomes a huge success that catapults him to money and power. Soon he realizes that success on the Wall Street is much more rewarding than a potential Pulitzer. Next stop the Senate. Along the way he encounters bad guys in suits or not and he dispatches them successfully. Mr Cooper in the leading role has the advantage that he is a very likable guy. Mr De Niro less so, represents the financial establishment. The women are mostly decorative. Mr Trump’s name appears briefly on the ice skating rink that used to be his property. Of course, for his followers this is the main element that explains the movie’s success.
All it takes is for you to be a fan of both Robert DeNiro and Brad Cooper to enjoy this crazy and whimsical movie.
I looks like a souless "Flowers for Algernon". Nice try it missed the tension and sensitivity of Flowers.
Lazily written and unevenly directed, Limitless fails to take advantage of its skilled leads, instead settling for a mediocre action/drama crippled by a troubling lack of substance.
Neil Burger made a good one here. The directing and cinematography is something else. Cooper in character is always extraordinary. A real "what if...?", entertaining and thought provoking. Enjoyable enough to keep watching
It is a good movie, but the ending give you the sensation of emptness, something like "using drugs it's worth the risk". Yet, overall, it's funny to watching for once.
This film is like a brain boost, similar to drinking a Red Bull—only instead of getting wings, you get to see Bradley Cooper looking ridiculously good while he outsmarts everyone around him. Honestly, how does he pull that off? Is it the magic pill, or is it just Bradley being his amazing self? Either way, I’m totally in!
Great movie and plot. I’ve seen it many times and would recommend. I knocked it down a star due to Di Zero being in it, giving his same arrogant performance like he always does. Other than that, totally awesome flick.
Entertaining movie and the concept was solid except they had a few jump the shark moments, and some pretty significant plot holes. Very close to being a very good movie but it is worth watching you won't regret spending the time to watch this.
A very nice watch, but the ending could be a bit better with a different plot, nevertheless, the movie is very fun to watch.
It's cool, fast-paced, and has good twists. Really enjoyable movie.
WOW. This film has it all...you know... visually stunning... fantastic acting...superb directing... soundtrack is even great. The character arcs are all over the place, which in this case it totally works. Watch it. You won't be sorry.
Think of The Matrix, but with letters instead of numbers. Then add Wall Street and a dash of The Dead Zone. It's a hotpot of great movies!
Me gusta mucho esta película. Puedo verla mil veces y se disfruta cada vez más. Gran interpretación por parte de Bradley.
To my surprise, this was a really great movie! Interesting story, not super predictable, and the directing and cinematography was quite good at getting us into the main character's mind and experience while he was on NZT 💊 Also, who doesn't love bradley cooper??
A drug that increases a person intelligence, but when you lose that drug you die........not a movie where a character learns a lesson, but really about a journey of a man battling life and succeeding in it.
This movie was fun to watch back when "the brain only uses 20% of it's potential" misleading myth was still widely accepted. It's now known that the brain uses 100% of itself, just never at the same time, in the same way you don't contract all your muscles at the same time as hard as you can. The movie wasn't really consistent with it's meter on how realistic it wanted to be. It tapped into this idea of a pill that offered borderline superpower capabilities, yet still wanted to be a realistic drug. The movie made the pill too powerful for it's own "realistic meter". The cohesion of the movie didn't really work. You have this super pill that can make you rich... then why would you go about selling it and spread awareness of it and only complicate your own situation? There needed to be a better introduction of NZT, such as Eddie being close friends with his dealer from the start and the dealer just magically discovering the formula. The powers should have been a little more conservative. And they glamorized it too much. It almost seemed like the movie wanted to show the cons of certain stimulants while simultaneously showing the appeal to starting them... and then just forgoing the cons all together and ending it off with the main character retaining all his success. Like I said, if a pill is so powerful to the point it can make you rich and you can actually retain the riches why would you sell it, share it, and why would you stop it? That being said, still very entertaining movie.
NZT-48 might be the drug from a film I want most. Early in his career Bradley Cooper had that 'it's factor. he still does.
Fast paced from exhilarating triumph to mortal danger over and over again. I love a happy ending.
A fast-paced, highly entertaining science-fiction thrill ride! Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro deliver stellar performances. Limitless is a visually appealing motion picture. I enjoyed the stylish cinematography, which assisted the storytelling. It is, perhaps, a bit more style than substance, but a very good film nonetheless. I do recommend. 87/100
