Luther: The Fallen Sun Reviews
Idris Elba was very good and Andy Serkis was outstanding as the psychopathic bad guy. Great story line and good plot twists. However Cynthia Erivo's plastic performance did not gel. She seemed out of place and awkward in the role. Every emotion was the same.
Absolute garbage. Waste of time. Bad storyline and dialogues. Some torture and really no sense in the plot. Skip it
An absolute waste of Idris Elba's talent and, equally frustrating, a waste of a great television character. The film can't decide if it wants to be a detective or spy film and because of this it fails to deliver. As a big fan of Luther on the BBC, the film is a damp squib lacking in plot and logic. Andy Serkis is also a huge disappointment as the film's villain.
Writer definitely could've thought of a creative way than putting 'John' to a prison and then break it the most childish way possible. It's amazing how they were on the run non-stop without food or sleep yet fighting harder than real life wrestlers. And 'John's' ability to guess the serial killer's motives without any support or history files is beyond this universe. Even the police department with all the sophisticated computers and systems couldn't make atleast a close guess. John could fight an entire prison to go very far but looked very weak against the serial killer each time they fought. This movie is not for the grown ups.
My god! This movie is horrible! No words for this!
A decently entertaining action thriller that feels left out for non-fans of the show, but is made up for by Idris Elba and Andy Serkis’s charisma.
Sadly nothing makes sense. It's slop.
Luther: The Fallen Sun”. Andy Serkia hams it up as a sadistic serial killer running a “Red Room.” But the greatest acti of sadism was the writer and director who brought us this derivative drivel a piece of junk just stupid. I mean stupid. Part “Hostel” part “Black Mirror” but I don’t see a shred of the pretty good series “Luther@ in sight.. Who thought this could ever be good? All I can say it also settles the argument once and for all that Idris Alba could be the next James Bond. During the action sequences, he’s so fat he can barely run. Lol. Too low brow to be believed. The BBC should be ashamed.
This movie was awesome! Long time fan talking here. “Luther” is just awesome in all aspects.
I definitely enjoyed this film, depicting the forensic and thrilling vibe of crime and horror, 100% retained my attention for its runtime.
*"Luther: The Fallen Sun"* brings John Luther to the big screen, and as a fan of the show, I was pretty excited. Idris Elba delivers exactly what you'd hope for—he’s intense, gritty, and just perfect in the role. Andy Serkis is a solid villain, creepy and unsettling, but he could’ve used a bit more depth to make him really stand out. The movie is definitely bigger and has a lot more action than the series, but it loses some of that dark, moody vibe that made the show special. If you’re a Luther fan, there’s plenty to enjoy, even if it’s not quite as sharp as the original. It’s entertaining enough to keep you hooked, though it’s probably more of a treat for fans than newcomers. And honestly, this just made me even more convinced that Idris would make an amazing James Bond.
Luther was awesome! Top five televison detectives of all time!
It's BATMAN! . ....................
elba delivers, i loved the tv series and the movie was equally good
This film is outrageously awful. I can only assume that it was written by a 12 year old with a high temperature. Unspeakabably bad. Lots of dodgy CGI. 'Plot' just batshit crazy, but not in an entertaining way, at all. Just off to pour fairy liquid into my eyes.
This movie felt like it traded writing for action and shock factor. Not Luthor's best story
Terrible writing but good acting. The story starts out decent enough but then it just goes completely out of control somewhere in the middle. By that time I was too far in to turn it off. Wish I could get back two hours of my life. Could have been better. Don't waste your time.
Very disappointing. The film didn't have the same drama as the 온라인카지노추천 show. It felt much more formulaic, and more interested in setting up a platform for a Luther franchise and in doing so it sacrificed its original voice.
La pelicula está bien dentro que cabe, es genérica pero al menos trata de entretener con su suspenso logrado.
This movie pissed me off so much that I made a Rotten Tomatoes account. The plot is purely driven by stupidities. How lazy. Don't waste your time.
