An extremely poor but blatant attempt at mimicking Tarantino. It’s done in a Kill Bill style, without the style. Is attempted plagiarism a thing in the movie world? If so, Tarantino should have sued!

What a load of utter rubbish full of wooden acting and gratuitous violence with the odd flashes of flesh to please. Continuity is very poor, blood stained vest and face then its all clean. Exploding car and then it's there all in one piece with the indicator on. Oh dear. And, action/deeds from the protagonist are in line with Deadpool. John Mclain couldn't dive through metal framed windows. All in all its dire tripe and 100% give it a miss. Unless you're 12.

Filme legal pra cacete, o roteiro é legal, o elenco é bom, gostei do trejo como o personagem principal, teve cenas que foram boas e com nudez, o filme tem boa cenas de gore e usa muito sangue que é legal, teve cenas sem sentido, como o trejo dentro carro da policia dar uma facada no policial e controla o carro girando a faca nas costas do policial, a outra é o trejo arrancar a tripa do maluco e usar a tripa como se fosse corda, passando de um andar para o outro de baixo, e também teve um maluco com um lowrider, que no capo tinha duas bazucas, e atirou com elas sem tocar e foda-se, igual no twisted metal, uma cena boa foi a do trejo colocando a minigun na moto e saltando com amoto e matando os capangas de seu inimigo steve seagal, no final trejo mata steve seagal. mas valeu a pena ver o filme, e eu recomendo por causa da matança e do sangue que eu gostei no filme.

Cheesy B movie goodness, a fun turn your brain off kind of film.

A great homage to the 70s exploitation movies; you will never truly understand/get this movie unless you are someone like me and fully understand THOSE movies and the context behind them. Awesome effects that masterfully mix CG and pratical; plot, action, sex and gore.

This action movie was really good. Danny Trejo, Steven Seagal, Jessica Alba, Robert De Niro, Michelle Rodriguez, Jeff Fahey, Don Johnson, Cheech Marin, Lindsay Lohan, and the rest of the cast did an excellent job in this movie. The plot of the movie was intense, thrilling, and awesome. It's about helping people get better lives and taking down the people that want to destroy it. If you haven't seen this movie yet, check it out sometime. It's a definite must see.

Fun, entertaining, strong supporting cast, and parodies B-movies very well, and it really represents what's going on with our country, especially Texas, today.

It's self aware, totally mindless fun, and entertaining. If it just would've cut back on a few things like too many characters and the plot gets a bit too complex this could've been good but man it's so close. The music is solid and is awesome a lot of times but other times it just gets generic and disappears also here and there. Everything else is half decent. Whenever this isn't violent or isn't focused on Machete is when it gets a bit boring and the acting sometimes takes a step down and is forgettable. It really jumps around a lot and gets a bit too hard too follow in detail. Scenes with Rodriguez, Johnson, and Fahey defintely could've been trimmed down as they don't add much. It should've just focused on Alba (probably the best character in this), Danny, DeNiro, and Seagal. The action especially the ending is just laugh out loud mindless fun and very creative and is the best par. Super over the top gore heavy in a comedic way and lots of practical effects with some shotty CGI for good measure. This very much maintains the Grindhouse exploitation tone origins the entire way as well. If your a big fan of the director, any actors in this, exploitiation, or love Grindhouse give this a try. It's dumb fun that just needed to cut back on the excess at certain points.

"Machete" is completely nonsensical and silly, but it is completely self-aware. I think this type of movie is just a solid pick if you want something full of violence and fast-paced entertainment. The movie has a slick style that makes it fun and I really think you will know if you're on the movie's wavelength in less than ten minutes. I do think the movie is a bit uneven in pacing in that it has action scenes scattered around and comes to a halt once they stop. I also felt with its revenge plot I expected a much more insane finale. Nonetheless, it is still a decent movie and has a lot of fun elements I genuinely had a good time watching it. Overall, it is a movie that knows it is not some artsy award winner, and it is refreshing to watch something like this every now and then and just have a goofy fun time.

Chalk full of so many stereotypes that is gets tiresomely annoying to finish. ** out of ****.

I couldn't pass up a movie that combined Jessica Alba, Robert De Niro, Don Johnson, Danny Trejo, Lindsay Lohan, Steven Segal and Cheech Marin! I mean, what the hell kind of movie could it be? So I watched it. Like I said, I couldn't pass it up. But I wish I had. The acting was lame. The plot was mostly slow motion tossed salad. And the central message was that we should cheer for the invasion of America. I know I can't get the time back - but I wish I'd spent it sleeping instead. Or counting grains of rice. Or doing almost anything else. It is easily the worst movie I've seen in 5 years. Though there were a few nice nudie scenes. But thanks to the internet, you don't have to watch the rest of the movie to see those.

This is not for everyone. This is a ultra fast paced, violent action film based on a fake promo appearing in the Tarantino-Rodriguez Grind-house double feature. It is just that. A 1970's low budget looking action film filled with violence, cliches, sexual content and good humor. Danny Trejo stars in the title role and it is a perfect fit. Jessica Alba is my least favorite part of the movie because she seems unaware it is a farce. Steven Seagal is actually very funny and cool in this one. The supporting cast, including Shea Wigham, Jeff Fahey, and Lindsay Lohan (quite funny)are good. Cheech Marin is also fun. Don Johnson is so good as a an evil rascist cowboy on the border. This is toxic masculine overdrive, but in a good way. There is a lot of topical immigration politics reminiscent of the Trump era, even though this is 2010. Robert DeNiro is also in on the joke. The cinematography is distinct. The Direction is classic Robert Rodrigez and the music is a strong element of the dim.

What more could you ask for. This movie had it all! Babes, blades, and booms!!!

Machete is slice and dice bloody action movie and it's a blast.

Steven Segal ruined it he ruins everything.
