Madea's Family Reunion Reviews
This is one of the first 'Madea'- titled films, and boy, does it show. This is a pure soap opera - filled to the brim with soap opera-level acting, soap opera-level drama, and soap opera-level plot devices. It is awful and I would never recommend to anyone. With that being said, I am very glad to have seen it. Oh, and the 'Reunion' that Tyler speaks of (in the title of the film!) finally comes about at 1 hour 10 in. And the wedding was tacky as hell. Finally, is everyone too stupid to notice that the kids walking down the aisle are not the kids of the bride and groom? Earlier, we are introduced to their kids. The woman has one boy and one girl. The man has one boy. When we get to the wedding, the kids walking down the aisle are one boy and two girls. Who in the hell is so stupid as to screw that up?
Madea's Family Reunion demonstrates what a family reunion should be and what people should take from it. This movie shows families being forced, broken, created, built and many more. This movie shows a mother's capability of controlling her daughters life leaving the daughter in a difficult circumstance but afraid to fight for herself. This movie shows a child in foster system well off to the wrong path being transformed from love and lessons.
Handles topic of partner physical abuse. Madea to the rescue and it turns out well! And some good laughs too
Sometimes the acting sucks and maybe not enough Madea but this movie is way better than Tyler Perry's first movie in the franchise. This movie has a better story, more Madea, and was a step in the right direction. I do wish that it was filmed in a better way, the cuts feel unnatural many times.
So hilarious and fun to watch
Classic Tyler Perry with Madea and Joe being hilarious.
I'm gonna rate this as the show... I prefer movies and less singing... Some drama but a little funny...
What was I supposed to learn? That only a black man can play a strong black woman when this movie was trying to tell me that women dont need men telling them what to do.
