Maestro Reviews
Cinematography and acting was excellent. A-list actors. Builds up to a huge twist that keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering the outcome.
One of the most try-hard movies I’ve seen in a long time. Bradley Cooper puts so much effort into becoming Bernstein, and being the maestro of his production, that he forgets to tell a story, with characters, that is about something.
We enjoyed the movie but felt we needed more information about Bernsteins life.
Too much of his personal life and not enough of his musical experiences. Also, the presentation was "choppy".
Loved the acting, story and the music!
Acting, Acting, Acting. Both lead characters gave Academy Award performances. Director Cooper deserves the same for an amazing first effort directing.
Loved the acting, the story, the honesty
This is a fantastic, beautifully crafted, superbly acted movie. The lead character is not a nice person, fairly despicable and that's uncomfortable to watch. I've lived a parallel lifestyle and as beguiling as Lenny is, I would regret inviting him into our circle.
Bradley Cooper is excellent but the movie jumps around a lot. The story does seem to develop slowly and emphasizes Bernsteins lifestyle.
See this on the big screen. Incredible performances. A gorgeous movie.
excellent actoors. tooslow at times
It was cacophonous disjointed episodic not in a good way, all over the place, and forgot to tell the story of what exactly it was that made Leonard Bernstein a staggering genius of twentieth century music. Carey Mulligan was splendid. One star for her and one star for the occasional great scene.
It was an incredible movie and the music was amazing. It was worth the 55 miles I traveled to see this movie. It is a must see!
Incredible screenplay and acting. Don’t miss it.
movie was great but the volume was so loud at the theater that we had to remove our hearing aids to even begin to enjoy it. Beautifully filmed, but also extremely heart wrenching. My companion personally knew Leonard Bernstein (they were at Curtis together) and said the acting was superb and he was amazed at how accurate the physical portrayal was.
masterpiece ! must be seen on big screen with loud surround sound!
Fabulous performances by Bradley Cooper and Carrie Mulligan. Writing did a beautiful job of capturing the complication of their relationship and the genius of Leonard Bernstein.
Good movie although I wouldve liked to seen more music, including Westside Story, and a bit less emphasis on the relationship between Bernstein and his wife. Superb acting by Bradley Cooper and excellent work by the make up artists.
One of the best movies that I've seen! Bradley Cooper deserves an Oscar, as does Carey Mulligan
Enjoyed the film immensely thought performances were all very impressive. Theres nothing that wasnt well thought out, so the film deserves all the compliments its received and will continue to receive.
