Martha Reviews
Martha as you’ve never seen her, from early life through now in 2025. It was really comprehensive and fair. When you’re on top, people look for your flaws and seize on them; ok, she was demanding and mean, is that reason to ruin someone? Her broker told her to sell the stock for $46,000, and on that amount, they found that one flaw to take her out. But a Nancy Pelosi is allowed to insider trade, make millions, and accumulates generational wealth. Give me a break. And I knew she knew this whole case was designed to bring down a billion dollar self-made business empire….oh no, jealousy was looming out there waiting to strike. I’ve always liked and respected her, her brand, her work, and success. I’m glad she seemed to land on her feet mostly, tho she’s not lucky in love.
A great documentary about the business woman who built a business empire on cooking and decorating the home then lost it all after James Comey wanted to make an example of her. It was really interesting to learn all the behind the scenes details of Martha Stewart Living - I’ve been aware of her forever but never realized that there was such an interesting story and personality here until I watched this film.
Wow, what a career. She is the original influencer. Can't say she ever influenced me, but I was not her target. The Justice Department scam to take her down was very disappointing display of (in)justice.....she is a billionaire and she sold $45K worth of stock on a broker advice....and goes to jail? And what a rebound from that. Snoop-Dog blowing blunts in her face and she cruises on.
It was brilliant. It showed the uncomfortable truths and you can see Martha’s raw emotions in the not so glamorous truths of affairs, insider trading, and heartbreaks and her being cancelled for years, and her comebacks eventually.
This showbiz documentary was great. The entire crew did a great job on telling the story of the famous 온라인카지노추천 host and entrepreneur, Martha Stewart. It really goes into detail about her childhood to her career. It was very dramatic and sad. If you haven't seen this documentary yet, check it out sometime. It's worth watching.
What a great documentary. What I am left with the most is how horrible James Comey is as a person. And how horrible the FBI conducted itself. I am so glad that buffoon was fired! As for Martha stewart, what an incredible human being. I am so sorry about how things turned out for her. A complete miscarriage of justice.
Good docco even if you live outside the USA. She was clearly stitched up by the male bastion and the way it is told reveals both sides of her personality.
It was an interesting documentary. I would’ve liked a bit more interviews from others involved. I would’ve liked it to expand more especially if they are demanding the viewer to sit through 2 hours worth of material. In the end, it was very good character study, albeit a one sided one.
Why was she the only speaking face. Would have been nice to see the contributors too. She lost it a bit at the jb roast. Didn't seem natural.
Her story is interesting and I didn’t know about most of it so that made for a good watch. Definitely worth it.
She's one hell of a lady. No doubt about that. It does leave you wondering if she's slightly sociopathic. To achieve what she has, as shown in the documentary, the degree of focus required is sky high. A good watch. Inspiring in a great many ways.
A very compelling watch. You gain a lot of insight into Martha’s life—the good and the bad. It’s fascinating to see her many accomplishments, and at times, you feel sympathy for her time spent in jail. But then, as her ruthless side comes through, your perspective shifts. Although no other people were interviewed, it didn’t feel limiting or repetitive, as her face-to-face interviews kept things engaging.
The Martha Stewart movie was more than just a movie. If you watched it closely which I did and I watched it a second time. What Martha did here, is that she “SELF ACTUALIZED” right in front of our eyes for the whole world to see. If any of you know who Maslow is ….look it up. This is why she is a GREAT IICON and will die as one and live way beyond her years. She never claimed to be perfect, in fact, she was far from perfect. We all saw that and we put her on a pedestal anyway. She already knew that and just mustarded through anyway like a soldier and made the best of everything she could….at every point in her life, despite making mistakes. She forgave who she needed to forgive and she accepted what she needed to accept. I was completely speechless by this movie. Again, i’ll reiterate that she is another beacon And example if you will for all of us to follow. She is an amazing example for all of us to learn from. Praise be to. YAHUAH for giving us Martha Stewart as a great example in our troubling time right now. Thank you, Martha. I will always love you.!!! If I could hug you in person, I WOULD!!!!! We love you very much Martha and always will!!!! I really hope she reads these!!!! She needs too!!!!! Godspeed!!!
I didn't know much about Martha Stewart because I don't live in America, but I knew she had gone to prison for - I thought - tax evasion, when in fact it was for insider trading. For the first 1/3rd of the documentary I thought she was very unlikeable, but by the time it finished I really admired her, and how she coped with everything she went through - the public disgrace, online trolling, prison, etc. An extremely talented, capable woman who doesn't suffer fools lightly, she succeeded mightily in a man's world, and recovered herself beautifully when she got out of prison. One of the highlights of the documentary was the Justin Bieber Roast - she astonished me with her sense of humour and wit and it was fascinating to watch! Really good documentary, well worth watching.
Never liked the woman and didn't think many of her recipes were easy or even good. Never watched her show or bought her magazine. This documentary lived up to what I thought it would be; a complete waste of time. Why is it many women in business believe they have to treat others horribly to get ahead? It isn't any surprise Stewart doesn't have any friends. I feel sorry for her daughter. Stewart seems completely miserable and her beautiful home and all the money clearly don't maker her happy.
I entered the party expecting boredom and left fascinated. Netflix’s Martha offers a captivating look at the life and legacy of Martha Stewart, revealing the many layers behind her meticulously crafted public image. This documentary dives deep into Stewart’s transformation from a pioneering home decor guru to a pop culture icon, capturing both her inspiring rise and her resilience through controversies that threatened to define her. It’s an intimate, eye-opening tribute to a complex woman who may have had one of the strongest comebacks to the public eye in modern history.
As a female entrepreneur & divorced woman in my 40s, I found this documentary wonderfully relatable. During the interview, it's clear that Martha has vulnerabilities that she tries to bury to show a face of strength and resilience. She wants to portray herself as a fighter, and she does. The documentary portrays how she fought hard and worked endlessly to create the life she did, pushing against gender boundaries & jealous haters. The documentary shows how human she is, even though she was always trying so hard to be perfect. I had goosebumps & was left inspired by Martha & her story. Well done!
Martha offers an interesting and engaging look into the life of one of America’s most beloved and complicated celebrity figures. I would definitely enjoy watching this again.
Watched it twice just to better understand my own opinion of it. This wasn't bad. I don't feel like it wasted my time. But I do think that Ms. Martha Stewart's own critiques of the film were accurate: Too much time was spent on the trial and prison term. There's so much else that's interesting about her life, and although one might argue that the vast majority of people tuned in to hear about Martha Stewart in prison, there was an opportunity here for something much more compelling and resonant. To that extent, this was a missed opportunity. But insofar as I was at home with nothing better to watch on 온라인카지노추천, this was a very watchable documentary. The breadth of interviewees and other sources was much appreciated from a journalistic stance. And I never felt like it dragged at any given moment. From a journalistic stance, I do believe that whenever one tells a true story like this, there are an infinite number of angles. The one the filmmakers chose here was intuitive. This should not be the defining documentary on Martha Stewart. I hope another documentarian will pick up the loose ends and make something a little more substantive and Didionesque.
Whether you like Martha Stewart or not, really the idea of her, should not influence your enjoyment of this excellent documentary. It moves along briskly and seems to tell as complete and honest a version of her story as possible. There are some time you will laugh with Martha, maybe at her a few times, but mostly I think most people will come away impressed with her personal strength, visionary approach to living, and appreciate her as an American original. It's a good thing!
