Max Payne Reviews
Lmao Ludacris cannot Act. He took a decent movie and added a clown into it
Think maybe it was a head of it's time effects wise because action scenes were pretty good an acting wasn't bad not a lot acting to do all all saw on free steamer. an liked it a lot . I know it didn't work like the game but so what liked it an man that Natasha girl was amazing looking
Why did they mess up such an iconic video game? I liked it growing up because it’s “Max Payne”, but I realize it’s a huge disappointment. Deserves an actual good adaptation.
Bad storyline. Bad dialogues. Bad acting. Bad directing. Bad everything.
The cinematography was good but the story was very basic , very by the numbers acting was poor and over all just not very interesting
🍀 4.3/10 Blud thinks he’s the crow. Mediocre entertainment that will provide you a fun enough time but won’t add anything to the genre and will probably leave your memory within a day. Grade C
Max Payne was a dull dry blooded movie that slits with no direction and was just all over the place.
Despite the beautiful cinematography by Jonathan Sela (Soul Plane) and solid score by Marco Beltrami (Cursed) this is definitely an poor adaptation of the famous game series with an terrible film noir script, miscasted Mark Wahlberg (Traveller) and Mila Kunis (American Psycho II: All American Girl) given bad performances and boring action sequences, another mediocre film from director for hire John Moore (Flight of the Phoenix)
Im a huge fan of Max Payne and actually love this movie. This movie was great for fans.
I think it helped me that I was a big fan of the game. But, this was a great game to movie effort. I really liked the camera work and some of the visuals. Especially when Max takes the drug towards the end of the movie. That final rampage was awesome. My few problems were Mila Kunis character, which really wasn't her fault. I just think she was poorly written and the dialogue between her and Max was not good. Their relationship developed odd as well. Beyond that. I had no complaints.
Movie so bad I needed painkillers
It's the type of my favourite film, Max Payne, 2008...Directed and co-produced by a Irish, John Moore...with basing on the video game series of the same name developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by Rockstar Games...Besides, I like the title character, Mark Wahlberg...with the wonderful ending, Mila Kunis acting as Mona Sax...in a bar...
This movie as an action flick was ok. Infinite bullets except when there weren't, I wish there was an rated R version, and a baseless plot contribute to my rating of this being just ok. Good actors bad story. (Maybe this is the director's fault.)
should have been rated R stick to the games saw it in theaters years ago. good visuals and mark whaleburg is good as max payne but the plot with the drug and seeing valkyries made no sense ludacris mr bridges and mila kunis are all wasted characters in this film worth a watch for the visuals and a laugh because its pretty dumb.
The story and characters were executed so poorly, I relied on the action to keep me entertained, but that probably left me even more disappointed. The main antagonist was played off as a passing easter egg, and the most important part of the narrative that was originally used to lead the story was only explored briefly toward the end. Max had no personality whatsoever and almost every scene felt like it should of been in the "extras/deleted scenes" of a bluray or dvd. Not fun. Don't watch.
Felt sorry for the actors in this movie especially with what they were supposed to do with it. Hopefully the guy who was the director and wrote the script and screen play isn't doing any other movies....
