A great entertaining movie. The main character is portrayed well and she is able to show how her wit helps her survive although being quite vulnerable. A lot of action too.

Initially I thought this movie was probably going to suck, just by reading the synopsis and looking at the critics' reviews. From previous experience, I learned that the critics' reviews are often wildly out of touch with those of the general audience. So I thought I'd give this movie a watch anyway. I am glad that I did. Gina Rodriguez did a great job. Overall, I think the acting was good. The storyline and plot are not perfect, as there were multiple holes, but they are still ok. The action scenes are decent. Overall, this is a good and watchable movie. It was entertaining from the beginning till the end. Although the ending was a little bit out there and a tad unrealistic, I still liked the movie as a whole. Good job.

I mean..Its an exciting and fun movie. Mostly what builds it up is Gina rodriguez who kills any role she plays. The movie itself is somewhat unrealistic and dry, but id recommend it because I found it exciting. The ending is sort of unrealistic but also what makes it empowering and girlbossy.

Aquele lance de estar na ugar errado na hora errado, no caso dessa moça isso ocorre algumas vezes, pobrezinha… Uma boa trama, bem convincente, com alguns exageros, normal, boas cenas de ação, com ótimas doses de tensão, angustiante... E aquele momento em que torcemos por um bandido, porque os mocinhos são sem escrúpulos, até mesmo na torcida para rolar um romance... E explana um dos crimes mais repugnantes, trafico de mulheres, excelente filme…

I would like to be supportive of women filmmakers by going to the movie theater and spending money on an admission ticket. Miss Bala is directed by Catherine Hardwicke. Her previous films include Thirteen and Lords of Dogtown. Those two movies are entertaining and well-made. This movie is a disappointment in comparison.

It was really nice to see a woman who is fighting for her right to live and taking control of her life. She is a boss ass bitch and it was so good I can't wait for a sequel.

I for one like this movie. You Can watch it multiple times , there is character development, above average acting, and a good plot. No loose ends is left.

I loved the movie and the transformation of the lead character. Hopeful for a sequel

Miss Bala is a decent little film but it’s nothing that’s going to blow you away. Gina Rodriguez gives a good performance and the movie does deal a lot of sex trafficking, drug cartels, etc. The pacing is a bit muddled at times and the script could’ve been better but overall it’s a slightly better than average film. Gina once again saves it. If it wasn’t for Gina this would’ve been a by the numbers action drug cartel film.

I only gave it a 2 1/2 stars because of the great job Ismael Cruz Cordova did in this movie this guy is a future A lister. Gina Rodriguez on the other hand over acted it was painful to watch and the writing really wasn't up to par. This is a remake and they changed a few things the plot and the way they wrote it was just not plausible. We all know these are made up stories but the characters and the plot has to seem possible. I would only recommend this movie if you have some free time and you want to see and upcoming star Ismael is what holds this movie together. He never over acts he is believable and controls the scene when he is on it. Everyone else is like a prop around him. He is 6 foot tall not one of these 5 foot 5 to 7 inch tough guys who no one believes is a tough guy. He is only 32 years old his agent should be busting their butt getting this guy a starring role in and upcoming action picture. You hear it all the time could this man or woman carry a whole picture and with his talent I say hell yes.

From director Catherine Hardwicke comes Miss Bala, an American remake of a Mexican crime thriller. While clubbing with a friend in Tijuana, Gloria Fuentes is kidnapped by a drug cartel and forced to work for them to get her missing friend back. Gina Rodriguez gives a rather weak performance and the plot is pretty ridiculous. Still, there are some good action scenes and a fair amount of suspense. While it's entertaining and has a bit of intrigue, Miss Bala is a formulaic action film that's been done a hundred times before.

I kept expecting SOMETHING interesting to happen, at some point, but was sadly disappointed. The violence was minimal and there was ZERO nudity. This movie wouldn't need any editing for television. I watched this for free and I still feel ripped off...

Interesting plot! Loved the characters!

I almost gave this a fresh rating. It's close to good. But it's not. I want it to be good. But it's not.

Was disappointed with the ending...there were so many holes in the plot.

I loved the movie! G-Rod Rocks!!! I loved the story and how she found strength she didn't know she had! I also loved the music in the film. I really hope there's a sequel...it's the right time for films led by Latinx performers. Oh and 1 more thing, Lino was a bad guy but he was quite nice to look at.

Average movie. Not bad!
