Moebius Reviews
Not close to the morbius I'm used but i liked the romance it was pretty good. Tugged at my heart strings (like morbius if he ripped my chest apart to drink my blood or something you know alright whatever just being a bit poetic guys im trying alright...) Good movie if you like movies or manipulating women and man edit 2 had to enclude men its 2025 y'all time for a change in this gender imbalanced wretched world I want to say yo guys you know its me but i think that i should leave that main character energy behind this year. see ya suckers
Artless, exploitative trash pretending to have something to say while not even managing to be fun to watch.
Freud would have had a joyride with this one.
I've never seen the movie but It has a similar title to my favourite movie MORBIUS.. If you have never seen MORBIUS you should !! ! ! ITS SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guys be careful this film is a knockoff of the fantastic 2022 film Morbius starring Jared Leto as Morbius. Whilst the film may share a similar name it is merely a cheap attempt to fool people into watching it
Trash. Oooo it's sooo dark and twisted oooo fuck this movie man. The derp level in the police station scenes omg this movie is for people who can only like something if no one's heard of it before. Boo to this film boo I say
The casting is brilliant for this movie and thus one of the redeeming factors of a production heavy on symbolism and light on any form of dialogue whatsoever. The capable and attractive actors are appealing even as they portray characters caught up in a truly disturbing web of sex and violence. The family unit has never been quite so dysfunctional and grossly (almost unwillingly) entertaining.
An absolute masterpiece. One of Kim Ki-Duk's best. The kind of film you see, and as a filmmaker, it makes you want to think even more outside of the box than you already have. Kim Ki-Duk I love you so much, man. Never stop digging deeper.
No penis. A disruptive relationship leads to an unfortunate accident and a young man has his penis removed. He rolls in rough cliques and needs to appear to be normal, despite his lacking essential equipment. However, it becomes apparent the young man is lacking some his parts. Meanwhile, he has his own unique methods of pleasure. Ki-duk Kim, director of Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter...and Spring; 3-Iron; Dream; Time; The Bow; Wild Animals; Crocodile; Pieta; and The Coast Guard, delivers Moebius. The storyline for this picture is very interesting and well done. There are some very intense scenes and worthwhile character development and the acting is solid. This was recently added to the Netflix online queue so I had to add it to the wish list. This was better than average, has some unique qualities and scenarios, and an intense conclusion. This isn't perfect, but is definitely worth watching once. Grade: B
It was a strange, disturbing odyssey. If it had dialogue, it would have been unwatchable. I feel like I know more about Kim Ki-Duk than maybe I wanted to.
Perhaps the most twisted movie I've seen after A Clockwork Orange (that immediately comes to mind anyway). Fucked up movie. Could have been made better if the director, Kim Ki-Duk, would get past his gimmick of not having his characters speak in the majority of his films. This would have worked better with the characters talking to each other, and the contrivance is even more greatly felt than usual. Having said that, however, Kim Ki-Duk is still a very talented and interesting director, even if I'm not always a fan of each of his films. Great performance by the main actress.
South Korea simultaneously giving the Japanese a run for their money in both the bizarre sex & horror departments here. This one physically hurt to watch and I'm still a little sore a day later.
Moebius is like getting neurological surgery done without anesthesia. Every second of the film pinches acutely every nerve of the viewers without fail. Kim Ki Duk shows his versatility in this haunting and disturbing drama.
The award for most fucked up movie of 2014 goes to...well, if you're reading this then you know what I'm talking about. If you like your films depraved and sordid, then this will be your holy grail. I cannot even begin to describe this film's plot and I'm not sure I even want to. Let's just say it has to do with the castration of men and how these same men find alternative methods to achieve an orgasm. Of course, the film being as depraved as it is, these alternative methods are pretty extreme. The film revels in its depravity, like a pig in mud. But, admittedly though, this is mostly visually driven as there is absolutely no dialogue in the film. This would definitely be the biggest complaint I have with this film, which was pretty good. The lack of dialogue comes across more like self-indulgence on Kim ki-duk's part rather than something that benefits the narrative the film is trying to present. I find it difficult to believe that the film's integrity would've been tainted if it had some semblance of dialogue. It didn't even have to be a lot, just make it count. You can actually see the characters struggle to not actually speak. That's how you know you've made a mistake in how you tell your story. I understand the reasoning, it makes the characters actions have much more impact, but it didn't work for me. Self-indulgence on Kim's part, that's for sure. And the film, with its powerful imagery, feels more like an attempt to shock more than anything else. I'm aware of all the subtext involved, but it's drowned underneath the weight of its own shock value. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this movie...but its reach exceeded its intellectual grasp. This is a movie that certainly needs to be seen, mostly for its imagery, but not really for anything else. Still, I thought this was pretty good, a bit of a come down from Pieta for Kim Ki-Duk though.
Unbelievably dark and sadistic. Moebius is a dialog free, beautifully filmed, unforgettable nightmare.
coming from any other director this would have been meaningless and just flat out weird. underneath all the obvious and shown actions is so much more. this isn't a movie for everyone and most will probably be at their wtf factor within 15 minutes but it is beautifully shot and we'll acted. without the acting this would not be as good as it was. I don't recommend it but I also don't say stay away if you are a fan of the I dependent art house films the Asian culture can produce. just keep an open mind and don't be too freaked out.
Sex.Violence.FamilyValues. would be a more descriptive title. Kim is back with his most shocking film yet. It's like they were brainstorming, took "castrating bitches" and "get your rocks off" then ran with it. One of the most surprising things is the complete lack of dialog. Not a single word is heard throughout the entire ordeal. But nothing needs to be said, this maniacal fever speaks for itself.
