Money Monster Reviews
A taut thriller directed without affectations by Jodie Foster, with a hugely charismatic George Clooney as an amoral 온라인카지노추천 host in the main role.
Modern drama, very entertaining, Jodie Foster directing at her best, moving characters, reflection on our world, what we are up against, what we have lost, loved it.
Has some similarities to the China syndrome but in general is not all that well put together and comedic cuts seem inappropriate.
Not as bad as some are saying here, because Jodie Foster directed. It's taut and interesting. There are moments of suspension of disbelief. They can be forgiven if you give it a chance. It held me to... pretty much the ending.
amazing movie i share it with everyone and they all like it
I find it bizarre that this rides 50%(ish) across the ratings board. It is a commentary on socioeconomic inequalities, and the anger flowing as a result, leading a person to take aggressive, affirmative action in the hope they can balance the scales. Whilst there are threads of mediocrity, these aren't in the performances. GC, JR, and JO'C all deliver in spades in that regard, and hold the writing to a high standard in bringing something taut and intriguing to our screens
Roteiro e enredo bom roteiro. Vale apena assistir? Com certeza indico. Nota: 8,5
More concerned with being a thriller than a piece of absorbing sobering commentary. The cast is solid, the editing is punchy but I'm sure it will evaporate from you on an intellectual/artistic level.
Looks like we have mixed reviews on both sides here, but I thought it was pretty good. There weren't really any big name cast members, besides Julia Roberts and George Clooney, and I wouldn't say their performances were anything special. (They did get better as time went on, but somewhat flat in the early goings). The guy who played the hostage taker was great though, even though I've never seen him in anything before. (He brought a lot of intensity and relatability to the role, which is important later). I thought the whole production suffered from a lack of urgency or believability. People who were intimately involved in the plot were as cool as can be, despite the obvious danger, and everyone watching on 온라인카지노추천 seemed completely unphased by what was happening. It just didn't feel as tense as it was supposed to. But what I really like about it was the story. At around the halfway mark, it transformed into a very different kind of movie. Our character went from a hostage taker, to a likable and relatable everyman that we can't help feeling a little bad for. From generic hostage flick, to a narrative on corporate greed and the lack of accountability in the financial world. (How they don't care who they hurt as long as they keep making money). To that effect though, things still happened too easily and in ways that weren't totally believable. But execution problems aside, a powerful message and an interesting enough story is still a win in my book.
A forgetful ensemble cast, director thriller.
My major problem with this film is that the first half takes a serious and realistic approach to the story and then the second half throws that all out the window.....still was an entertaining watch though.
Overall it was actually pretty good.
Brilliantly directed, great writing, well acted. Ending was a little weak - there wasn't enough repercussion. Wall Street win in real life would have been nice for more come up pan r or compensation for the victims, since it's a functional movie 😀
I liked it - new spin on a hostage situation that I hadn’t seen before and makes you think about how much underhanded play is going on in Wall Street.
Very good gets going pretty quickly and a good action drama
Really liked this concept. Worth considering cause how often does a crash/glitch equate loss + frequently no corporate liability!!!
Filme com uma proposta muito boa.
The premise for the movie is actually quite a good one, and it starts promisingly enough. Then in the 2nd half this movie falls off a cliff. Disappointing effort.
Did I pretty much know how the plot would go? Yes. But the great acting pulled it along in such away that I had to keep watching. Spoiler Alert: the good guy with a gun dies and the bad guy who stole the money is headed to jail. Fiction can help me feel like some rich crooks will pay the price.
Heavy handed plot, but well-acted and good production values. Satisfying ending.
