Monster Trucks Reviews
Turns out to be decent once it finally gets going. The oddity of it winds up being pretty superficial. Basically a greasy, countryfied take on ET with more emphasis on autoshop and car chases than the creatures, and occasionally a faint Tremors vibe somehow. Surprisingly formulaic and kinda' dumb, but fun and exciting enough in the second half to just about make up for it.
WOW everyones such a CRITIC! incredible... 🙄 and BAD ones at that! This movie is such a breath of fresh air from all the reboots and rehashes... I was sad i hadn't seen this and wondered why it wasn't a box office success cause has the energy of Transformers!!! The SFX are phenomenal yes PHENOMENAL! PLUS the adventure 80s throwback to that good old feel good romp thru the woods and town, chasing and running, all for that connection felt through different life obsticles and newfound friends. And what TRULY sets it apart was that bond between the protagonist and his #stepfather! It's ALWAYS grrrrr how bad the stepfather is and if he could only get back to his REAL father... Great representation of that and Danny Glovers characters certain restrictions while throughout never making big deals of either! I LOVED it !💥🔥💥🔥💥
It's not bad, but it's also not a masterpiece to watch because of their friendship.
Goofy. Hated it all way through. If I could I would give it 0 stars. Do not recommend
Good movie and enjoyable. Watching it in 2024. Still feels amazing
I just can't wrapp my head around having this adorable monster baby be stuck in a truck, so initially, l could not get into this movie as it made me cringe every time I saw the monster baby being used as an engine for a car. It just seems so crazy! However, as the movie progressed, I began to look pass that and enjoy the movie. I gave this movie 4 1/2 stars because it is a family friendly movie, has a good hearted theme and wonderful ending. Because I am not a monster truck person, so maybe that is why I initially had an adverse reaction to this movie. Overall, it is an enjoyable and inspiring adventure movie.
this movie was awesome with a man who be friend by a monster it really was thrill of these monsters that control the trucks of monsters
Used to like this, but I don't like it.
Despite the somewhat shaky and unoriginal premise, this movie has stolen my heart with adorable squid things
Es una mala película pero con protagonistas son buenos y buenos amigos es mala pero meh👍👍👍👍👍
Super forgettable probably worth watching at least once
I have watched this film about 6 times. My kids love it and I thought it was an enjoyable movie. It reminded me of some of the classics I grew up watching in the 80's and loved. Ignore the critics and just watch this with intentions to be entertained. I know I will watch again some day.
Failing to do much to set itself apart from E.T., Monster Trucks has likable characters and Cyclops' brother from the X-Men prequels does bring some charisma to the lead role but jokes that fail to stick the landing, a predictable plot, boring action sequences and monsters with bland designs and uninteresting animation (which is a really bad thing considering that this was from the director of Ice Age) make it easy to see why this movie was sent to the dreaded month of January to die. Oh well, at least the kiddies will shut up for the next 100 minutes.
I loved this movie. I watch it every couple of months with my son. It's super cute. It's a silly make you feel good movie. I dont understand how so many people dont like this movie. Unless they went into it with unrealistic expectations.
I probably don't recommend it unless you have a thing for squidbeasts, trucks, Lucas Till, bioluminescence or saving the Earth's creatures. This is part ET, part Free Willy and a whole lot of trucking wild times.
This attempt to mix the Child-friendly, action and monster genre does export an enjoyable adventure fantasy but the theme and tone it's suppose to set felt too standard and familiar especially that of Disney's creature films
Now just like the majority of people I doubted this film from what I heard. However when i finally watched it I instantly fell in love. Bubby is my new personality trait!!! I would not be able to sleep if I gave much more about the movie, it truly is so fresh: absolute must see!
It tries to mix various interesting concepts, but results in a uninspired and unnecessary movie with a convoluted and incoherent plot, uninteresting characters, and uneven special effects.
I can't say I'm a fan of Monster Trucks. But if I was trying to discourage you from seeing it, trust me. You would know it...
