Mufasa: The Lion King Reviews
Great story, no agendas, and incredible visual. Thank you Disney! This gives me hope that the Disney we grew up loving is finally getting it and making a comeback.
The story line was kinda bad, confusing, the songs were decent for a young audience but besides that for an older audience I would not recommend it
Loved it! We miss James Earl Jones.
The music was good. The movie was horrible.
Entertainment that surprises once again with its realism, with an “unexpected” and harmonious story (even though it is very inspired in some situations, almost a copy and paste, from the 1994 film), which I thought would not move me, but there is no way not to, since Mufasa is the Lion King and only passed his legacy to Simba.
Best live action Disney movie I have seen. Still not amazing but very watchable with a touching story.
My favorite movie growing up was The Lion King. This was my first movie I was a hardcore fan of, so walking into this movie I had very high expectations and they were all met. There were very small references towards the older movies that made me very happy, but no one else understood them but me. The songs are all hits (minus one that is annoyingly catchy.) At one point in the movie I felt tears in my eyes and I didn't even notice. Beautiful movie!!
The main flaw of this film is that it's almost a carbon copy of the original. Furthermore, the characters' expressions lack life, which greatly distances them from Disney's signature touch. As for the music, I can only say it's good, given the aforementioned problem of the characters' lack of vivid expressions. And the setting is magnificent, full of life and color. Would I watch it again? Yes.
I loved the movie. It was amazing
This movie needed a better script. I found my mind drifting during movie. My 5 year old grandson did not like it. He asked to go home a quarter way through the movie. Lion King is his favorite movie and he asked to go see this movie. It was a movie geared toward adults for sure.
Good movie for the family but songs fell low compared to the 2019 Lion King Film
Graphically it's okay, the big issues are the poor plot, insipid voice acting, unoriginal use of characters, unmemorable and poorly produced songs, and the disturbing number of disquietingly smiling lions... Seriously, the massive over push to reproduce human facial expressions on the lions is just odd, especially in the early scene where Mufasa's mother blows flower seeds...
Esta muy aburrida como musical solo me gusto la cancion del villano las otra son olvidables. El Final salva la Pelicula Me parece mejor que la Rey leon de 2019 pero igual esta Espantosa
This movie was unnecessary, i honestly don't know why they made this.
Mucho mejor primera mitad que última, pero aún así, nos hace volver al mundo del Rey Leon, que a los que estamos en los 30s tanta nostalgia nos da.
The movie is great but the singing on every story is alright but when there was an action involved I actually liked it more than the walking and slow but the movie was quick and fast pace talking about mufasa but for my perspective Its a mid it's still good but I seem a little worth it for me I guess idk
Beautifully written script with a strong message of serving man as we all benefit from understanding and cooperation. We are all interconnected. Truth, not deceit, will always triumph. Love this movie.
Avid lover of both the 1994 original and the live-action remake - so hopes were high for this one. Its terrible. Contrived, over-acted, sickly sweet, corny... it feels like a weak sequel from the start. As a qualified African field guide the worst for me are the inaccuracies with regards to species, landscapes and animal behaviours. We could MAYBE forgive the bushpiglet used in the Lion King when we flashed back to Pumba's childhood (buhspiglets are cuter than warthog piglets) - but this film was RIFE with mistakes... Just terrible - so sad. A blemish on the landscape painted by both originals.
So disappointed with how they marketed this film.... Bought it and can't believe it's in French, I'm in Ontario Canada, and we do not speak French!!!! I should have had a choice between languages!!!! 40$ for nothing and basically ruined one of my favorite kids movies 😔
The movie was better than what I expected. When I go back and see it again? Yes
