It’s a very well made addition to the Muppets franchise

The practical affects are good for the time it was made and it also shows the ingenuity of the creators and all of the crew involved. The story is well thought out .

The weakest film in the quote-unquote "original trilogy", The Muppets Take Manhattan isn't as good as The Muppet Movie or as hilarious as The Great Muppet Caper, possibly owing to the film's comparatively darker tone but it's still a fun watch thanks to its enjoyable songs, talented puppeteers, jokes that generally stick the landing (mostly where Miss Piggy is concerned), human actors playing well off of Kermit & Co., good messages about following your dreams (true, it's clichéd but Frank Oz does a good job here executing these lessons) and the debut of the Muppet Babies. I have no interest in seeing either cartoon but in that musical number, despite stopping the plot dead in its tracks, the little baby versions of Jim Henson's iconic comedic troupe look adorable. All in all, still an above-average Muppet film in its own right, just not as well-structured or as memorable as its predecessors or even Disney's 2010s duology.

Mixed feelings about this. Seeing the Muppets try to fit in to the real world is fun but the story kind of lacks. Why are the Muppets going bankrupt so often in every film? Hard to suspend disbelief for that so often.

Unless you are a huge fan, don't bother.

I liked this a lot more than the second movie, though not quite as much as the first. The amnesia section felt a little tacked-on but the rest of it was a pretty finely-crafted 3-act story, with believable plot developments and something to do for each unique character. It felt much more like a continuation of the franchise than the second movie did, where they pretended we hadn't just watch the characters get to know each other in the first installment. The rollerskating scene is one of the best I've seen and the songs were all appreciable. I'm glad to have watched these with my 8-year-old, who enjoyed them even more than I did.

A more mellow tone this musical Dramady was a interesting way to go for the franchise.

This movie is funny and it's one of the best Muppet movies. The whole family will enjoy.

The Muppet clan tries to make a life on Broadway. Full of heartfelt moments, lots of laughs, and catchy songs.

A really awesome, funny, and just hilarious movie, but, Bee Movie is stil the best movie, all the criticism is just jealous people saying is bad.

Muppets Take Manhattan isn't one of the best Muppet movies, but it still has memorable moments and fun songs. It also feels more dated than the other Muppet movies, but that could just be because of Miss Piggy's hair. Still, my kids seemed to enjoy it and it's fun to see all the Muppet characters singing together at the end.

My favorite muppet movie! I grew up watching the muppets, muppet babies and Sesame Street all play their part in this amazing film. I love the music the jokes Waka-Waka and all of the crazy fun and drama. Great guest stars like Joan Rivers, Liza Minnelli, Brooke Shields, Elliot Gould and many more. Rizzo and his gang really make you think about rats can really do in a kitchen. It’s hilarious!!

An improvement upon its predecessor, if for no other reason than that the Muppets themselves return to the center stage with something of a real plot and actual character development structuring the movie, rather than just a zany assemblage of bits and cameos (that last part, apparently, because Dustin Hoffman dropped out early on, pulling half of Hollywood with him). The result is not only a more affable, fluid, and enjoyable movie, but a story that makes you once again care about and root for these characters against the odds—caring, after all, is Kermit's most essential quality—so that in the end you really do end up feeling something for these creations of felt and wire, there really is something moving in that final scene beyond their marionetted limbs and flapping mouths.

It's still got all the fun its classic characters are obliged to carry with them, though the story is definitely less than their best work.

Films like this make me wonder why the muppets became so popular but i assume its the 온라인카지노추천 show rather than the films they made. The human characters were a bit dull and i can't really remember and stand out moments.

Before I start, I just want to make one thing clear. I haven't seen The Muppet Movie in years. In fact, I'm not even sure if I watched the entire film from beginning to end. I wasn't too interested into it I guess. Instead, I preferred the second predecessor The Muppets Take Manhattan. And let me tell you. I couldn't stop watching this film when I was a kid. I just loved it so much. Now I have never seen The Great Muppet Caper. But I heard it wasn't all that great. So I decided to skip that one. As for this one. Does it still hold up by today's standards? In my opinion, it exceeds those standards. The story is simple and sweet, the characters are all lovable and unforgettable, and the tone has that nice balance of light and dark. I especially love the character of Animal. "Me want woman!" That scene is so hilarious! Overall, it's my personal favorite Muppets film. Whether or not it's the best Muppets film objectively, that's all of a matter of opinion. But if you haven't seen this yet, I highly recommend it.

One of the movies that kept me afloat as a depressed kid...and a depressed teenager. How could you not cheer the fuck up when muppets sing to you? I also had a crush on Jill the Frog for the longest time. I think she loved Kermit...but of course, he was oblivious and a sucker for punishment.

A pleasant outting for the Muppets even if it's not their greatest.
