Rupert Everett is a tour de force as is Harry Styles (who would have guest he could truly act) enjoyed this so much. recommend

Heartwarming movie. So honest.

What a great story, based on an excellent book by the same name, worth a read. Brings to light the hardships many faced back in the day, and the heartbreak and ruined lives that often went with it. Something many in our modern world are not aware of. Wonderful cast of mainly experienced actors who brought out the deep emotional side to this tear jerking movie. I down voted as the sex scenes were poor, not that I have much experience in this area, they seemed too false, just sex not emphasising the real love that was behind the act, to the detriment of the actors involved, better direction from an in all other ways credible director could have fixed this.

Very good job on adaptation of the book. The acting is really good. It's a really good movie. Some will say it's overrated because of Harry Styles, but he's doing one of the best emotional acting I've ever seen! Grew up, you must see this movie, it's completely worth it

Ritmo lento, fotografia escurecida e chuvosa, contrastando com praias coloridas, roteiro um tanto superficial, dizendo menos do que poderia, os meninos foram ego铆sta, mas infelizmente a mulher foi cruel, magn铆fica, realidade dura e crua... Excelente desfecho...

This is a beautiful movie! I have become of HUGE fan of Harry Styles (Greatest of All Time) as an actor. Emma Corrin is magnificent! Fabulous supporting performances from Gina McKee, David Dawson, Linus Roache and Rupert Everett. The Director Michael Grandage has made a Masterpiece! I highly recommend. I want to own this film on Blu Ray.

The cast express the emotions really well; the frustration, jealously, fear, and love. It's a lovely story, give it a chance, I think anyone would love it!

A powerful drama, which should have an effect on all the presumably straight professional critics who panned it - are they robots? Or just can't relate? Anyway, simply stated: it's brilliant.

This adaptation of Bethan Roberts鈥� 2012 novel of the same name, which is inspired by E.M. Forster's m茅nage 脿 trois of his younger copper lover and his wife, seethes with weighty melancholy as a pair of married geriatrics reunites with an old confidant from decades ago and unearthing long buried secrets and passion.

The story, it's time, and photography were the best bits. Emotionally challenging definitely - persist with it if you can because it gets better as it goes and is worth the wait.
