Never Let Go Reviews
predictable and unrealistic
Horrible movie. The script seems to go somewhere, but it's very noticable that they try to subvert expectations and ended up with a mess. The need to leave the monster as real (or not) at the end ruined the movie. Main characters were annoying and the acting was poor. A complete joke
Cool plot, but a bit confusing. Still enjoyable.
Boooooo. No scares. Very boring and depressing. Didn’t go anywhere. Cruel.
It's basically the village mashed with relic. At first you think momma is mental then perhaps not or maybe she's an alien. Confusing and ambiguous.
Secluded in a remote woodland cabin, a mother adopts extreme measures to protect her twin sons from an "Evil" that devastated humanity. The boys are forced to follow strict rules and ritualistic practices to keep themselves safe from the imminent menace. Their house is their sanctuary. The family’s safety is disturbed when one of the boys starts questioning his mother's beliefs and overprotective behaviour. "Never Let Go" is a survivalist horror movie with elements of psychological drama. The audience knows exactly what to expect from the very beginning as the story unfolds familiar territory. Ambiguity and the fear of the unknown are often used as key ingredients to terrorize the viewer. However, none of these layers are effective since the existence of an apocalyptic evil is easily anticipated to be the result of a psychotic and manipulative mind. An idea already overexplored by many other horror films!
There’s over explaining, there’s under explaining, and there’s “never let go”. This movie doesn’t seem to know what to explain and at what time it’s best to keep the viewer doubting or reassuring him of an established fact, it’s frustrating because you end up not understanding the meaning behind it all. Makes it feel like they were deciding what was going to happens midway through the film. And it has a weird sound design, not in a good way. At least the acting is very good, especially from the young actors, complemented by a very good setting that really sells the… inicial… idea of the film.
Never let go was okay. The acting was good but the plot was okay but held little interest. I wouldn’t say it’s scary but maybe suspense filled. I would recommend this movie if you’re bored with nothing else to do on a weekend night.
I really enjoyed this movie. It teetered on the edge of absolutely great. But it was awesome. Performances were great. Story was exciting and left some things to the imagination, like I would expect someone in psychosis to...
Horrible, ridiculous. I don't know why Halle Berry did this movie!
Despite a slower pace, the mystery and suspense are good. As such, it really needed to nail the ending and... it didn't, as it leaves the viewer unsure about what exactly it was that they just watched.
Awesome film scary Halle berry is amazing
Never Let Go geht ca. 100 Minuten und ist ab 16 Jahren freigegeben.
I thought this was an excellent horror film, very compelling, atmospheric and intriguing. Unnerving, original, all the actors are fantastic and convincing it's also great to see a diverse cast too! Ominous, harrowing, thrilling behind a beautiful backdrop. Frustrating it doesn't manage to answer the larger themes of movie but I freaking loved it!
I felt very early on in this film you could tell Halle Berrys character was suffering from mental health issues . The story itself was ok
It's decent. Nothing special but watchable. Good if you don't have anything else
Big stinker of a movie. Why would Halle berry ever commit to such a terrible script/movie I’ll never know.
This movie is a must watch! I loved how Halle Berry played her role and especially the two young actors. It tells a lots of back story to me if we use our imaginations, how they end up in the middle of nowhere. As "Momma" keep saying she was a different person back in the old world and the self portrait she kept tells something that might give us a back story because, maybe back then she was a "Substance Abusive"made her psychotic or a hereditary mental health disorder which made her crazy. I love the plot twists of this movie 🎥🍿 👏
Overall quite boring for 90% of the film. Watched at home with alot of FF. Kids were pretty good, so that's one positive.
