Nightcrawler Reviews
I think the movie is all about louis bloom who was actually shot in the first scene where he tries to do something with the cop. This is just the things he imagine what things could have be if he had a different life thats why we see the watches change, the cars he drove change, his mannerism when we observe him it goes from soulless ,trying, and genuine. I think he was realizing how he viewed himself and how others viewed him.
Weird but interesting
One of the best words to describe this movie is 'unnerving'. The intensity is great. Jake Gyllenhaal is aways great. Someone said his acting is one dimensional but they must not watch a lot of his stuff. He has great range in his acting. For example 'Road House' and 'Southpaw' to 'October Sky', 'Prisoners', 'The Covenant'. He's certainly one dimensional. The acting from everyone was great and the story is great and the cinematography is great. Very entertaining!
One of Jake’s best movies. A villain who you think is the hero.
"Nightcrawler" is a razor-sharp, unnerving thriller that dissects media sensationalism with brutal precision. Jake Gyllenhaal’s mesmerizing performance as Lou Bloom elevates the film, portraying a character whose relentless ambition and moral vacancy make him both fascinating and terrifying. Director Dan Gilroy crafts a tense, visually striking descent into the underbelly of crime journalism, where ethics are sacrificed for profit. While its themes are blunt, the film’s execution is sharp, making "Nightcrawler" a gripping and unsettling critique of modern media culture.
SORPRENDENTE
An underrated with film with an intense main character
Gyllenhaal's performance push the rating of this movie to 10/10 with another actor, this movie might have been boring
Expected a gripping thriller but found this underwhelming
Muy buena película mi amigo me lo recomendó y es muy buena película igualmente se las recomiendo a ustedes claro que sí no se la pierdan
How so many find this a good movie is beyond me. It's a slow paced, one dimensional character study of a flat wanna-be Patrick Bateman. It's neither believable as a "what if" and while perhaps trying to comment on today's society it fails as it doesn't actually comment any further than "shock and clicks is life" which is an old trope...do better if you want to make an artistic piece and write better if you want to tell a story.
The odyssey of a true psychopath. If I didn't know any better, I'd believe it to be the work of Vince Gilligan to give a slow burn such intensity and action in a movie that is honestly mostly just talking and looking at the aftermath of violence and misfortune. Jake Gyllenhaal lends his talents to tell the story of a psychopath two-man video production team as he breaks the law, hurts people, refuses to help anyone, and manipulates people who misplaced their trust in the lunatic. With Riz Ahmed, Bill Paxton, and Rene Russo, this makes for a violent view into the mind of a mentally unwell man who is more brilliant than he lets on.
Sociopathically uncomfortable, scathing take on modern media and their henchmen. An insight into an industry where immoral ambition is rewarded, and where a lead character's human flaws can become his professional super powers. Not for the morally squeamish. Akin, in tone, to the movie Taxi Driver. Fantastically shot.
great movie, great visuals and great acting by jake
One of the best movies ever created! I don't know how this movie did not win any awards.
This movie was amazing. I felt the tension.
Awesome Thriller of a film. Highly recommend
Nightcrawler is a thrilling and absolutely stellar film, and one of the best neo-noirs in recent years. One of the most interesting commentaries on our media that I have seen in a while, this beautifully done kept me on the edge of my seat with it's shocking moments, satisfyingly building narrative, and one of, if not the best performance by Jake Gyllenhaal. Nightcrawler is an absolute must watch for fans of neo-noirs, and should be more widely regarded as one of the best films of our century.
This is one of the greatest movies ever and a superb performance from Jake Gyllenhaal.
A really good movie, exiting and interesting. Great acting and good story, well worth your time.
