No Way Up Reviews
Well holy good lord of ballicks. This was extremely cheesy, unintentionally hilarious, beyond unrealistic, people who shouldn’t be able to hold their breath for so long, can without training, the acting was mostly good but sometimes horrible. Sharks do things normal sharks do not do. The CGI is basically Amazon primes low budget movie kind of cgi. Just a bad film
Predictable & stupid but yet entertaining enough to watch on a rainy afternoon with a big bowl of popcorn.
Ok at best. the story wasnt great and it was very predictable .
This movie was amazing, that is of couse if i was in the 1650's. From horrible acting to just embarrassing movie props. Cheesy lines, boring plot the whole movie gets predictable from the second, they set foot on the plane. We get introduced a little bit, to the characters in the movie, but it essentially means nada. Nothing in the movie comes full circle, besides them getting rescued but who would, have guessed that. Nothing interesting with the sharks aswell, we dont even get to see them much. considering this movie is from 2024, im just dissapointed. Overall this movie felt like eating a burger with no lettuce, beef, cheese, pickles ketchup, basically just 2 buns non toasted. Very boring. :)
Some parts of the movie are obviously predictable but overall I enjoyed it
Not bad as a quick "horror/thriller" movies goes. I have definitely seen a lot worse and it killed an hour and a half
Another tragic example of too much money and not enough talent. The story could’ve been great… unfortunately, either due to the writing or the directing, this movie drowned… like most of the characters. The bones were good though, if someone leading it had any sense. Hate to see a fun plot wasted on mediocre talent. I’ll finish with.. The actors were good!
Was i the only who watched?? 💀
Appreciate the character development. The suspense factor increases because the characters are likeable. A survival movie with sharks.
Forgetable low budget Poseiden Adventure. (Fewer survivors this time.)
There was some good jump scares and the story was good but the overacting by some dragged this movie down for me. Tim Treakle
It's Certainly, one of the better "plane crashes into ocean full of sharks" movies; the water's not so murky that the action can't be seen, there're good jump scares. and it's nerve-wracking suspenseful😲
They lost me when the plane suffered a bird strike, resulting in catastrophic failure of one engine, and a gaping hole in the fuselage. Okay, so far. But then, the plane, going hundreds of miles an hour, makes a soft landing on the water!
Upon watching this movie and my opinion beginning of it was a little predictable but after about 20 minutes in I was hanging off my seat. Starting getting suspenseful anxious wondering what's going to happen next in my personal opinion this movie is a must see two thumbs up I think one of the best short movies they've made since 2016 the shallows so if you in the shark movies this is a must-see movie got a couple known actors in it
It is easy to feel strong panic in the plane crash scene because we have all been in those airplanes, so the beginning was strong. After that, it was weak movie. 2/3 of the characters you didn't care about and wouldn't mind dying. Half the likable characters die. Felt low budget. A lot of suspension of disbelief. I would have given it two stars if they didn't did not sacrifice the teddy bear at the end. He was my favorite character. Throwing him back in the ocean was sheer stupidity. Why would they think audiences would like that?
Only the diverse survive! I’ve now saved you 90 minutes of your life.
Pretty bad acting all around from everyone but Colm Meaney, and they killed him off in the first 20 minutes. Ugh 🤦♂️.. overall the story definitely doesn't feel new, but it works. The idea is simple: plane crashes, handful of survivors sink in it and are running out of air and options, sharks are the "bad guys." Ta-da! Might be some spoilers below 👇 Obviously there's a lot of plot holes that people hate about this movie. Like, their flight path was pretty direct.. LAX to Los Cabos is mainly an over land flight. The only place to go down in the water would be off the coast of San Diego. Now factor in that the governor of California's daughter was on the flight and the search efforts would be tripled. The plane didn't veer off anywhere. If anything they should have immediately turned towards the nearest airport after a bird strike and declaring an emergency. The engine was clearly on fire and they would know that in the cockpit, so they'd have to extinguish the fire and kill the engine and do an emergency landing. You don't just say, "we're ok" and try to make it to Cabo with one engine lol. So yea, pilots are going to hate this nonsense. The two rescue divers getting left behind after the chopper was almost bingo fuel and being told "can you search in 15 minutes" is just BS. Would never happen. Even if they had immediately resurfaced the ocean current could have taken them way off the mark. So the next chopper would arrive at GPS coordinates and see no divers in the water. Hope they at least had flares on them or something lol Jjdjdn
Typical shark movie Not a horrible movie but would definitely not watch again. Very predictable, very cheesy, and the BLATENT disregard of salt water throughout the movie throws me off (survivors with eyes open for periods of time underwater with no reaction).
I know this is just a low budget movie, but come on! No realism to any length from the what happens to the plane, with the sharks on down surfacing. Bad writing, bad acting. The only good thing about the movie was a couple of cinematic shots.
