funny and cheeky. however, its reliance on references to other romcoms (of course, it is a parody) made it overly predictable. reference humor can only take you so far.

This movie is hilarious, not sure why the ratings are low its the best parady of teen movies ever made.

This is a funny movie. Yes, it is a parody of numerous "teen movies," but the comedy has great chops and timing. Since there are about a thousand gimmicks/jokes, some miss. However, some hit so hard that they make up for the duds. If you lighten up, you will be entertained.

"Not Another Teen Movie" genuinely has the potential to be a really funny spoof movie. I just feel like the humor in this movie doesn't really work for me here. I could see how some of the bits could maybe work as an individual sketch, but I don't think it comes together well. A lot of the jokes didn't make me laugh much and the story itself feels heavily parodying just one particular high school movie. Overall, I can see how some may like this one as an early 2000s parody movie, but I really couldn't get into it and didn't laugh nearly enough to say it was worthwhile.

No one has a good sense of humor

One of my faves. Silly spoof comedy about 2000s teen films. If you haven't seen most of those then some of this won't make sense. Similar to Scary Movie.

The fact that this movie tries too hard to be a comedic drama parody is just sad.

This was a lot of fun, but it hasn't aged too well. Some of it wasn't great then either. But when it shines, it really shines. As far as these kinds of parodies go, it's definitely on the better end, but never as good as the greats. They tried and more often than not they land it, but I'm not sure if anyone who hasn't seen this should go back and watch it. But I chuckled a bit and don't regret my time spent, so that's something. But with all the talent involved it's hard to not want it to be a bit better.

The best part of films like these is the pop culture references, and this definitely delivers. Although not entirely memorable as a whole, the first watch guarantees fun for fans of nostalgia.

This movie is really well made. It has great actors in it, a great soundtrack and it was made before all the spoof movies got really terrible. It's probably partially to blame for all the bad spoof movies because it was so good. It's a very underrated film and should not be discredited just because it's a spoof.

As someone who was a teen not too long ago, Not Another Teen Movie somehow manages to portray teenagers better than things like The Breakfast Club. Watched both in the same night for fun and laughs since I had been hearing good about one and bad about the other, and surprise surprise, Not Another Teen Movie was more accurate. Despite being a parody movie, the acting is somehow better than TBC, perhaps because they know it's a parody and not to give in full effort. Therefore, it comes off more realistically. I see a lot of people reviewing this and most of them are elderly people who do not like crude humor or fun. This is how true teenagers are, not the washable 2-d characters in TBC (YUCK!), but it's a reality they don't want to face. If you just want to watch a boring movie that has no character depth or logic, watch The Breakfast Club. If you want a raunchy, disgusting, realistic and ACTUALLY FUNNY movie, watch Not Another Teen Movie. Still one of my favorites after all these years.

Unpopular with smug critics in 2001, Not Another Teen Movie could not be made in 2023 because society has become increasingly angry when asked to reflect and laugh at itself. Not Another Teen Movie stands as a reminder of a more enlightened time.

I think this is a classic! Before Chris Evans was ever Captain America I knew him mainly from this movie! This movie is hilarious.

I get what this movie is supposed to be and that helped me like it better. While it did have some more annoying parts with humor that came off as a nuisance and that went a little too far and didn't land, other parts were actually pretty good! I liked the cameos that they included and there was one actor who did really great (Eric Jungmann as the friend-zoned guy). Other than that, the acting was what you expected out of an early 2000s comedy (largely just bad). The plot was pretty basic and there are even parts of the movie that came off as flat out racist, even for the time (with the cheerleader routine and the one African-American character). Even though the movie was self-aware and had some decent humor here and there, still not a comedy I'd recommend.

A fun movie. Worth watching.
