This is an excellent documentary. Puts the OJ trial and verdict in historical context.

A well-done feature of a sad, pathetic, talented, wasteful, gross creature.

The story about O.J. Simpson has always been complex. This docuseries put it in very easy to understand terms. This series was very engaging and vey well done. I strongly recommend this to anyone.

I can honestly relate, and not only because my old number was also 32… American made and reclaiming my identity…

An impressively in depth documentary. Edelman recognizes that to explain the outcome of the trial and the reactions that followed one must understand both the personal history of O.J. Simpson and the racial history of the United States.

One of the best documentaries I've ever seen, and I've watched ‘O.J.: MADE IN AMERICA' several times over the past several years. A masterpiece! Highly Recommended! A-

Thought I knew the whole story. I did not. Definitely worth whatever you have to pay to watch it.

One of the best docu-series made in recent years. This is an in depth and compelling look at the life of O.J. Simpson and the events that led to his murder trial in 1995. Must see

The best documentary movie ever made!

It's nearly 8 hours long, and the longest work to win an Oscar (for Best Documentary in 2017 ), but it's more usually viewed as I did in 5 90-minute or so episodes. It's a detailed, sober, gripping and moving documentary about the man who O J Simpson became, the murder case and a careful examination of wider issues of celebrity and race. It's a remarkable piece of work, and if you have access to it I highly recommend it to anyone interested in any of these subjects - you can't fail to learn important things from this extraordinary piece of documentary filmmaking. It's also worth saying that this puts every other true crime documentary series in the shade in terms of its depth and seriousness.

Doesn't hurt that the world wide leader of sports made this the best 7 hours spent on the people's Thin Blue Line

There never needs to be another documentary about O.J. Simpson. It's that good. O.J.: Made in America came out at the peak of true-crime fervour. Shows like Making a Murderer and The Jinx were setting the new bar for true crime and it was going to be hard to complete with. ESPN had been doing their 30 for 30 Series for years, and the majority of their docs are great, but Made in America blew everything else out of the water to become one of the greatest docs of all time. The director, Ezra Edelman, has publically stated that he is not a fan of true crime. He didn't set out to make a doc entirely about the O.J. murders, and I doubt that he was trying to find sympathy for Simpson, either. At its core, it shows how divided America is by racial tension and how it played into the O.J. trial and how it ultimately got a murderer off. To this day, it's impossible to fathom how Simpson was found innocent. The staggering amount of evidence seemed like an impossible thing to beat. His blood was everywhere. The victims blood was everywhere, mixed in with his! All it took was a dream team of lawyers to spin tales of reasonable doubt and racist cops to convince a jury who was really running the court room. The whole thing was a circus. The prosecution just ended up being food for the lions. In some ways, the doc wasn't about O.J. at all, rather just showing where he existed during the years of racial tension that plagued (and still plagues) the nation, and how he did and did not benefit from it. From his upbringing, to his football days, to his movie career, to the murders and trials and beyond, it's one of the most fascinating documentary series of all time. In the end, O.J. was found innocent of murder in one court room and guilty in another. He didn't get away with it, really. He's on the run from creditors for the rest of his life because he owes the Goldmans and Browns somewhere near $60 million after accrued interest at the result of being found "responsible" in the civil trial. He served nine years for crimes directly related to the aftermath of that trial. He's a felon on parole. The trial and all of Simpson's misgivings are the spectacle of the doc, but the message is clear: We have a lot of work to do for racial injustices. You know it's bad when you have to let a murderer walk free so you can cast a brighter light on it. My name is Larry Agajanie. Thank you for reading.

One of the best quality documentary I've ever seen, brilliantly done. Even if you aren't a football fan or don't know much about that fateful day in June of 1994, you will be absolutely enthralled from the beginning.

The whole way that this documentary ties in the contextual nature of these unsettling events is remarkable. A truly troubling case that leaves no stone unturned.

Let's cut to the chase here, Mr. Edelman has created a transcendant amazing documentary. O.J.: Made in America is like the White Ford Bronco, slow, methodical, and you can't take your eyes off it.

Spellbinding and thrilling. A thorough examination of not just Oj Simpson, but of Los Angeles and it's turbulent relationship with race.
