I grew up watching this movie and still find it hilarious to this day.

How absurdly out of touch 'verified movie critics are' lol. This is perhaps one of the top 5 most quotable comedies in history. This was outstanding when I saw it for the first time aged 12, and it's somehow even funnier at age 34. The gulf of an 8% by so called critics to an 84% by actual human beings that have a sense of humor is hilarious. Same bums that said Anora was the best picture of the year... lol what has the world come to.

Best snowboard movie there is. For the last 20+ years my friends and I have made it a tradition to watch this film at the beginning of every snow season. Light hearted and funny!

This was my favorite movie when I was a kid, 11 when it came out. It's chalk full of that early 2000s humor and even has Zack Galifianakis getting his weiner stuck in a hot tub 😬🏂 Great snowboard movie in my opinion 👍

The best “ski” comedy, it’s close, but this has a cast of Titans, looking at you Flex! Not really but it’s a great cast

It's a teen comedy about snowboarding. Yea it's not as gratuitous as teen comedies from the 80s but it's a fun movie if you were a teenager in 2001 or if you snowboard/ski, etc. I watch it every year with friends during a winter carnival in our town and it's a great time. If you enjoy winter activities and live in a small town with eccentric locals, you'll probably enjoy this movie for what it is.

Perfect example of elitist snobbery if you look at the "critics" ratings and the audience ratings. This is a fun movie for the little guys about finding love, finding your place in the world and cracking some jokes.

A great movie, not only about skiing but the ski life.

I made the unfortunate mistake of going into this comedy with high hopes. I assumed its mediocre rating on IMDb and Letterboxd was a result of comedy being subjective and was in the mood to laugh going into it. For a 90-minute comedy this had a shockingly low jokes per minute rate, offering what amounted to a handful of comedic premises and literally only 2 or 3 that were even chuckle-worthy. There was a pervasive sense of unoriginality throughout the entire runtime as I think they adopted the Casablanca love story because of a lack of imagination rather than a love of the source material; they didn't alter the story at all really, inserted zero jokes into it and just played it completely straight alongside a background cast of people occasionally trying their hand at jokes. Spinning the car was funny, I liked their king of the mountain skit and the hot tub scene wasn't the lowest point in comedy history, but the rest was just painfully unfunny, predictable and uninteresting.
