This a heartwarming and a fun movie. It has a nice father and son bonding story with Lincoln Hawk (Stallone's character) showing his son how to drive and to even arm wrestle. The plot is kind of ridiculous, with a grandfather who wants to take custody from Lincoln and goes to desperate measures to do so. But just for entertainment value, it's still a solid movie that is worth a watch.

Turn your hat around when you watch this. Be like a truck.

The sound track is one of the best ever! The movie really has a great message about a father and son. Loved everything about it! Got chills several times cheering for Stallone! There’s some emotional scenes in there and you really feel it! Brings back the 80s for me was one of my favorites back then and still is! I will say these ratings are ridiculous and it’s horribly underrated…better than most anything they put out not for movies …

This film brings it home for the single father and power some people have over your ability to be with your son. A film I loved when it came out and a film I love to this day.

This movie really hits home for single/divorced parents. This movie touched my heart. I am sadden and very disappointed that Rotten tomatoes gave this move such a low rating.

E somente Stallone para fazer um filme de Quebra de Braço e ter sucesso. Até hoje é o único filme deste gênero que vi. Aqui temos uma estoria de Lincoln (Stallone) que tem um filho Michael (Mendenhall) com Christina que é filha de bambam Cutler (Loggia) que nunca aceito o relacionamento de sua filha com Lincoln. Assim ele privou sua filha e seu neto de ter contato com Lincoln. Mas Christina esta na beira da morte e quer que seu filho conheça o pai. E faz com que na formatura dele Lincoln vá busca-lo e ter um relacionamento. Porém este relacionamento é muito difícil e com a morte de Christina seu pai vai atrás de Michael. E com esses desafios Lincoln com seu velho caminhão vai lutando. A atuação de Mendenhall é muito boa. E assim enquanto Lincoln dirige ele vai treinando seus braços. Ele tem um sonho de vencer o campeonato Americano de Quebra de Braço e ganhar um camihão zero. E para isso deve enfrentar Rick que é um verdadeiro campeão de Quebra de Braço. Até o momento que Michael retorna para casa de seu a avô, encontra cartas que seu avô tinha escondido que Lincoln enviava para ele. E com isso ele foge para rever o pai. E onde ele encontrará? No campeonato e assim vamos para o clímax final, com várias lutas ao estilo O Ultimo Dragão Branco de JCV, mas com quebra de braço. E isso vai nos envolvendo e ver o Stallone virando seu boné como se fosse uma virada. Quantos não imitaram isso e a pegada dele na mão. Este filme popularizou a Quebra de Braço para o Mundo todo. Uma ressalva a seleção de musica do filme, que é muito bom. Mas uma vez mérito de Stallone. Roteiro e enredo como disse Stallone é um expert. Boa execução e um bom produto final. Vale apena assistir? Sim Nota: 8 por tudo que esta filme representou, não somente por ser um filme, mas por tudo que fez ao esporte.

It's simple, yes, but it's majestic in its simplicity; the relationship between a boy and his father is often overlooked in Hollywood. This is a win.

I enjoyed it compared to todays movies. Is it the best movie ever made no, is it a bad movie no it's not. Underrated movie that deserves a better rating than it has.

Fantastic Flick! One of FEW type of rolls, where Stallone doesn't play. A Superhuman Action Hero, the Single Dad Truck Driver roll. Hits VERY close to home, for Millions of People across the World. Heart warming and Exciting at the same Time, seen it MANY time and I'll see several times again!

Heart, arm wrestling and the 80's sound round out a perfectly campy father son action drama with Sylvester stallion killing it in the lead. It has a slow start but has you cheering by the end. Love the 80's.

This 1987 film contains conspicuous product placement and plot holes and yet is highly entertaining. A handheld camera was used in many instances similar to the critically acclaimed, ‘Saving Private Ryan', to great effect. Go Toyota and Alka Seltzer!

Kramer vs. Kramer…with competitive arm wrestling thrown in? C'mon. It's awesome "Over the Top" yes pun intended; fun.

Enjoyable movie that I wouldn't expect Stallone to do, it was nice seeing him in this fatherly role.
