Oxygen Reviews
Liked this movie a lot. Very well directed and acted, with a unique and original story. The ending felt a little too convenient and could have been a little better, but overall I found this to be an excellent sci-fi movie.
The beginning is a bit confusing, but as the film progresses you really start to lose yourself in it. It's very intriguing and has a very good plot twist. I've watched it a thousand times.
The ending feels a little too easy and I wish the movie didn't feel the need to re-explain things verbally that were already clear visually. That said it is more compelling than a lot of other confined space movies and I really like the pain triggers memory narrative.
Oxygen is a well-written film with a brilliant performance of the leading actress, but the best part is its original and well thought plot twist.
Cool that they managed to make the entire story happen inside the pod. But the story is pretty lame. A lot of it revolves around "where's Leo?" but as a viewer I don't know who Leo is, so I don't care.
This movie is very similar to Duncan Jones' "Moon" (2009). Both have the same dark and claustrophobic atmosphere and both share the same problematic premise. On a technical level this movie certainly succeeds. But the underlying premise is not at all convincing and is both scientifically and philosophically questionable. Don't want to give details, but if you have already seen "Moon" you will know what exactly I mean.
Best film I've seen in a long time. Great acting and a wonderful twist
An ordinary Sci fi thriller.
just watch it, underrated movie, amazing
Middle-aged woman with severe panic disorder and incapable of formulating a single chain of logical thought awakens in a cryo-chamber. She is running out of oxygen, but first she bungles around and then she is incapacitated by a panic attack for 17 minutes. The woman also seems to suffer from paranoid schizophrenia and a dissociative disorder, further stymieing any escape attempts. Lacking a knife, she uses a needle to cut her wrist to ease her anxiety. Sinking into depression, she then tries to kill herself and actively refuses help. The revelations made towards the end of the movie could have been made at the beginning, simply by asking the most obvious logical questions. Basically, this is a remake of Duncan Jones' movie "Moon" from 2009, but with the main character replaced by a mentally challenged person. Unfortunately, this main character in Oxygen is supposed to be a successful scientist, making the story utterly stupid. 2 stars for acceptable music and claustrophobic cinematography.
Very good movie- finally, something original. Great suspense, keeps you guessing over and over again. Highly recommend.
Keeping you on your toes, Oxygen, shows you that you can make good movie, with little budget and almost no scenery changes. Conceptually basing on 2010 Reynolds' Buried, Oxygen makes entertaining movie with stellar cast (singular ;) ). 84/100
Great Sci-fi movie on all levels. Full of twists and turns. Very creative, solid, and well developed plot. It's very engaging and enjoyable. Good acting. Well done.
What a great movie! Awesome job on creativity and imagination of what could possibly happen. Definitely a must watch for everyone!
Great movie The next step of cinematography where the actor (again) carries the whole movie on him self
That's a great GREAT movie. I really recommend it.
Worth watching... But not outstanding
if looking up s lady's nose for 2 hours is your thing you're going to love this movie...
